Re: General discussion chat Ok, confession time. My SSD is annoying. I can't believe I actually paid money for it. It's too small so it fills up too quickly. I hate constantly seeing the disk space warning in the bottom of my screen. It would have been a better buy to have just purchased a WD VelociRaptor drive. Ok, confession over. Carry on.

Re: General discussion chat SSDs are meant to hold your OS, your favorite games that you need the quick loadup for, and that's about it. If you fill it with a bunch of pics and videos and stuff, you are losing the functionality of it. You are supposed to leave at least 25% of it free so it can move stuff. 6677 can explain how they do it. That's why I have a 3TB HDD for games, and everything else. TL;DR: SSDs are to boot up, and to have 1-2ish of your favorite games boot up quickly. That's about it.

Re: General discussion chat That's all it holds though! The OS and some drivers and Google Chrome... And the occasional malware and spyware. I have a 500 gig scratch disk for all the other stuff, and it's full! The joys of being a software hoarder. I have 16 gig allocated on the scratch disk for South Park Stick of Truth. Have I played it? No. Will I ever? Probably not. Should I get rid of it? Yes. Will I? No. Coffee coffee coffee I'm jittery. I've edited this stupid post like 8 times now.

So if it helps, you probably won't win. There is really no point In getting excited. You are just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Re: General discussion chat Delete yer stuff when you don't use it. And get a 1TB HDD for your stuff. Unless you pile up on old movies you watched once and programs you don't use, it should be fine.
Re: General discussion chat I've had this one HDD for 4 years. I've never cleaned it and it even has parts of some old installs on it. A good cleaning would probably bring it down to ~500GB. No idea how you guys have so much stuff. I have entire seasons of TV shows and a ton of pictures.
