i can imagine ax doesnt want to work on this draining project anymore, wich is honestly quite fair

The tilted license plate looks weird on the stock version. It should be a option rather than being the only option for the license plate. The camera being placed there means that the center of the camera direction (which should normally be in the center of the car) is closer to the front of the car meaning that the back of the car is closer to the camera than it normally would when it's facing there which obstructs the view more (200bx to compare).

Yea sorry about this. I got really mad because I had spent alot of effort on this update. Making for example a half million polygon high poly engine model, spending many many hours fine tuning the suspension. (which is ultimately what the mod is about) Then after I release it, I got a full page of people just crapping all over it over small details despite the fact that I said it's an early release in the update post. And I was already in a bad mood, having a shitty work day. What made me put the mod as cancelled was anger. It's not fair to the rest of you, but I hope you understand where I was coming from. I would like to thank you all for the support, and apologize. The mod isn't really cancelled.

Please stop taking things for granted. Sincerely the modding community.

Speaking of the engine, it's one of the best looking engines in the game, the level of detail on it is crazy, and yet you managed to keep it somewhat lowpoly and not ridiculously laggy.

 

Please don't apologize, what you did is not wrong at all, I don't know anything at all about modding but someone being nitpicky about shit I gave them is a punch to the gut. We just want to say thank you so much for what you've created. It is by far one of if not the best mod I've seen on beam. With all due respect, if it gets you, please take a quick rest, and I hope you well man!

Totally understandable. I've been having a blast with the mod, man! Also, i fixed the orbital cam. Just change the y to .90 i think and it should work.

I will work on bugs over time. It will not be perfect in the next update, or the next update after that. But I'm glad to hear that that's ok, and it's motivating me to work on it and improve it further.

Thanks alot man! The engine and front suspension are the two things I've put most work into. The engine itself is very lowpoly, but it has been baked from a highpoly model to transfer the details into a normal map. Same thing was done for the front suspension, although I want to make the suspension look better.

 

The suspension setup and angles are incredible. Compared to the standard settings of the developers, this one is top notch as it really made me feel like I was driving the car while drifting in this game. So I immediately put a wider 265 wheel and realized that this little one just lacks the aggressive bodykit that I sent here..

 

I am making a new bodykit for it actually. And perhaps some wider arches would go with it. No promises though xD

That's understandable, doing big work and only getting critics is... yeah
even more when the mod is labeled as "Alpha", should be obvious it's unfinished and has its issues but somehow people don't get that.
Got a bit scared by the cancelled tag not gonna lie.

On my end I'm having waaaay too much fun with it since the 0.2.0, it was pretty cool on the first release but now it's something else !
The new suspensions definetly feels better, I have more control, it's a bit more permissive too and the drift config given with it is better than ever.
and ALL the other additions/improvements of course !
Also the camera felt a bit disorienting at first, but when drifting it feels really smooth, having the possibility to get both cameras as you mentionned would be the best of both worlds.

I love it !

i like how bright the lights are on this mod. it actually seems realistic, for the most part. in fact, i just really like the lights on this car in general.
