I get that lotus is trying to stay afloat but the whole idealogy shift in the last few years from lightweight sportscars such as the Elise, Exige, Evora and to an extent, the Europa to the Evija, Emira (which just feels off and different tbh) and now this. I don't want to sound like the average r/cars user complaining about "muh sportscar", but all the Electre feels like is a chinese suv startup company

 

It's owned by Geely, but it does remind an Urus.

 

Oh, believe me, you don't sound like an average r/cars user at all. An average r/cars user would support this change, even if they did pay lip service to what has been lost.

I once saw the majority opinion on r/cars described as "literally any day now, I mean seconds from now, Chrysler I mean FCA I mean Stellantis is going to go bankrupt if they don't retire the hemi and replace the Charger/Challenger with 3 cylinder I mean EV hatchbacks."
