It is a tough truck, and I give it respect for that. But I'm not a truck person :I I see them Everywhere. 'Murica.
Thank god the trucks near where I live aren't that bad. There's just this one asshole in my town with a black 05-ish Silverado crew cab that's jacked way up (used to have green wheels) and has this one massive smoke stack in the bed. All I've ever seen that toolbox do in it was roll coal. That's it. I don't even think he takes it offroad. I've never ever seen a speck of dirt on that thing. I'm not a truck guy, either, but I'm pretty sure that's not what a truck was made for. OT: Yes. All of the fucking yes You will be mine, someday. You will be mine.
I am a happy owner of Ford Focus ST. For the next cars I want: Tesla Model S for every day It is fast, safe, and possibly very durable (the concept of electric motors is much more durable than combustion engines). and for weekends I want Ford Shelby GT 500 becuase this is the fastest top speed car for reasonable money and it is much more durable and faster than BMW, Audi and MB. or may be the new generation of Mustang with most powerfull engine
Shelby GT 500 top speed is 201 MPH or 324 kph in stock version without any mods. No one of cars You posted can do 201 mph. Alos Shelby is faster on the track. Tuned Mustang can reach a 230 mph (over 370 kph). And the fastes street legal car is Ford.
There are these things called corners, you might have not heard of them. An M4 won't be as fast as a GT500 in a straight line because it doesn't have a huge 660bhp V8, but it will drive better and just be a better car in general. Mustangs aren't known for their great ride or build quality either. Heck, I'd rather have a 235M than a Shelby. It just seems like a silly "ALL DA POWAH" car to me.
There are links in my post for lap times. And Shelby GT 500 is faster on the famous Nordschleife track than M3 GTS. Mustang Shelby GT500: 7:39.28 M3 GTS: 7:48.00 BMW put too much money in their interior. I don't need that silly leather and expensive wood. All I need in interior is sport seats, big screen, and sport steering wheel. Check forums of M-Power owners and Shelby owners and You will see that Shelby is much more durable. It is much rare situations for Shelby when owners got problems with engines or transmission.
Lets see.... Dream Cars... John Dodds "The Beast" The Tumbler Mad Max Ford Falcon 1936 - 1937 Auto Union C-Type V16 Aston Martin DB5 Cars I own 1997 Saab 95 Saloon 2009 Jaguar X-Type Estate 2.2L Diesel 2009 Jaguar XF S Saloon 3.0L Diesel Thats about it for me
You "America vs. Europe" guys are so cute. While the Shelby is fast in a straight line and the BMW is fast on the corners, neither of them can do shit on the dirt, which is where my car of choice excels. Also, the Shelby has only two doors. And yes, you can get an M3 sedan, but it doesn't have AWD or the gas mileage of a 4 cylinder engine. And a WRX STi is SOOO much cheaper than the other two, even if you compare a new Subie with an E36 M3 or an older Shelby. Also, insurance is cheaper for the Subaru, as is maintenance and repair. And this is the part where you can suck it.
And the Impreza gets fucked in the arse twice on the track. Every car has its purpose. The Subaru is (was) a great car, but it's nowhere near as fast as an M4 or an AMG on tarmac. If you want 4WD, get the Audi. Want 4 doors? Get an RS4. And honestly if you can afford one of those cars you shouldn't worry about petrol money, or manteinance money, or any sort of money for that matter. But at least the Subaru is a mature car that's built properly, and not a plastic box with a big engine on it. Personally I love the 1994-99 Imprezas, the rest are meh.
Dream cars: Jaaaag xj220, F-Type,xkr aand xf-r More modest ones are Saab 9000 Aero, Opel kadett gsi aand Clio williams Cars that i have: `93 Clio 1.2 and "project" cars Ford Ka and Renault Twingo ragtop.

while i do agree that american car's tend to not be as good with corners as european counterparts, the shelby gt500 handles corner's just fine: gt500 at nurburgring (7:39) VS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nürburgring_Nordschleife_lap_times if you want to look at the bmw time yourself all ill say on the subject, you guys can continue having your opinions and such On-TOPIC: my dream car? that would be the Ford gt
One opinion I have, is indeed, the SVT is a beast. A true American success story. No one can ever take that away. But another pony car lurking around the corner (probably in front of the GT500 on the 'ring) is the new Z/28 Camaro. Non-Opinion: (yes, rolling start...they should ALWAYS be a rolling start, warm tires and such) So its a bit faster on the track than the GT500. Or maybe not. This is a very interesting thing that I am surprised no one has brought up. (I sell chevy's, but this is my last day and I will always be a Ford guy through and through (check my name lol)) Edit: Oh yeah, and near the end, probably the last 2 or 3 miles, were inclement weather. Just saying. Now this can be the bandage for the wound you may have sustained Edit 2: And this is not really an opinion...but the new Z/28 is far superior to ANY current BMW or AMG in ANY corner. Bring on the fanboy hatred!!! I love it! Edit 3: Just watched the beginning of the GT500 video, and he was NAILING it over the start line, much faster than the Z/28, but notice the massive amounts of understeer and tire squealing. Engine sounds beastly though, gotta give it to em.
I guess all i can say on the US vs German vehicles debate is that being the fastest is all well and good. But lets face it, all of the ones mentioned are more than fast enough for anything that you will ever need to do on a road as well as everything you shouldnt. But in terms of comfort, economy, refinement and interior quality i think there is a pretty clear winner. If i had to chose between a us muscle car and a German saloon for a long distance drive or even a daily driver i am pretty certain i would go for the German saloon (estate preferable), because frankly, if i were to be driving a car regularily, i would sure as hell hope it was comfortable and has enough room to give me the option to carry passengers.
most my dream cars are here!! http://www.3dtuning.com/en-US/ajtownsend93 I dont own a car but i own a pretty nice mountain bike
This guy knows what's up. I'd love Subies and Mitsubishi's if they were more "Up to date" on standard features though.... - - - Updated - - - I still think Camaro's are the definition of fugly. then they made the wound worse... old one's best still don't want one though...
