There isn't anything inherently inefficient with making new parts, It's just a new body style. Of course it will take time, but all mods/parts take time to make
You're right. I don't have much idea of modeling, I just made the drawing that seemed to me the most beautiful, in Paint. But I recognize that the changes in column A are likely to be a lot of work. Maybe, and if he wants, the author can try to modify only the roof trim, and maybe the increase in the air vents. The SBR would allow this change at the front because it has an engine at the back. That's why I suggested a more accentuated trim and removal of the rear seats.
Yeah, i was more talking about the lore-money-economical thing but what you said is true too, it would be a bit hard.
well the new bumper is longer giving it more of supercar / arrow like appearance rather than the rounded and stubby sports car look the vanilla currently has. --- Post updated --- that concept looks amazing
So there are some issues I have with the mod The roof looks more like somebody stood on the back of a hotwheels, it needs to flow but instead it's really choppy and has 2 visible corners And the front bumper, i'm sorry but it just looks terrible, like when somebody grabs someone elses lips in a cartoon. Also there's visible edgesplit all over it I'm not trying to be a dick so i'm sorry if it comes off that way, i'm just trying to give you feedback so you improve
No problem at all! Im a novice modeller, and constructive criticism let's me know what parts and skills I need to work on. --- Post updated --- What part is this image taken from? I'm not able to remember it, as the image is too small
I'm having a tough time trying to fix the shape of the coupe. I understand what LJ means about the window and body looking like it has 2 corners, and I see it as well in-game. However, whenever I edit the mesh, I'm not able to "understand' which part to reshape, because it looks continuous from the orthographic view. I would appreciate some input on this
@Derpitron Already done the SBR8 mod, and a config that includes your SBR4 Coupe mod (spoiler alert it has 2500 hp) https://beamng.com/resources/hirochi-sbr8.20168/
Do you feel the issue with the front bumper is the fact that it's too long, or just that it looks weird (e.g weird edges) and has low quality modelling? I am testing a few designs --- Post updated --- What kind of cosmetics would you like to see?
My original intention for the front bumper design was that it needed to be extended. I feel that the extended front bumper looks better on the SBR4 coupe, and many others do as well. However, I will fix up the weird geometry. Hope you can understand
The Hirochi SBR4 design has defined, sharp edges, which is contrasting to the smooth, bubbly design style of the 2000s porsche 911s. I think it would look incongruent to the rest of the SBR4 parts
I've pushed an update which aims to correct the problems of the mod such as non-smooth roof, shoddy modelling on refreshed front bumper, as well as the wrong uv-unwrapping of the door and quarter glass. The update is not yet approved by the moderators.
