BeamNG.drive has attempted to use more memory than is available for use

Hello,
I have been playing Beam for a long time now and I have recently been encountering an error very frequently: (Don't mind the comic sans font lol)



I get this error in 2 situations:
• After spawning in more than 3 cars.
• After clicking the spawn traffic button in the menu.

My first idea, of course, was to disable all mods as they can cause issues. I still get the error.

My second idea was that there was an issue with my ram, so I stole some from a different computer and tested it. Still happens.

I tried disabling XMP to eliminate stability issues. That didn't work.

I even got this error a couple of times while loading into a map:



My Pc specs are:

•I7 11700k (not overclocked)
•RTX 3060
•16GB 2400mhz Ram (3200mhz in XMP)
•Asus Prime B560m
•Game installed on a HDD

I have verified game files and nothing was wrong but I have not yet tried reinstalling as it would take a very long time on my slow internet connection.

Is there anything else I can try in order to resolve this issue?

Open task manager while beam is running, and look at what program could use all your ram ?

 

BeamNG uses around 6GB when on most maps and there are no other programs open that are using more than 100mb. I don't seem to be using anywhere near 16GB when the error happens, despite task manager showing usage of over 90% which is confusing.

 

That's weird. Try in safe mode ?

 

It seems as time moves on and programs get more updated and advanced, the need for more ram is apparent. Currently have 28gb of DDR3 1600mhz at the moment and the game sees no issues. Back when I had 12gb I'd get this error every so often when loading up the Los Injurus, Tennessee, and Italy maps. Might be time to add more ram. As it stands now with some Internet tabs, Discord, and other small apps open, I'm using up 33% (about 9.3/27.9gb) of ram. You can imagine how much BeamNG would use up once it's open. I was lucky to get a 16gb kit on sale for $50.

 

Thanks for this: it turns out that my SSD has none allocated when the automatic box is checked but my hdd has lots. I believe this must be from when i used my HDD as a boot drive and game drive. I will test with my new settings and let you know how it goes

I think i have more than enough ram to run the game, but i am considering upgrading.

I still get the same issue in safe mode sadly.

 

when i load into the new map in 0.27 it uses 12 gigs out out 16 and it crashes
