Using the paddles on Gamepad for shifting up / down does not work

    Hello

I have to setup my gampad to use the left stick for steering and the right stick for throttle / breaking. This works fine.

I want now to use the left paddle for shifting down and the right paddle for shifting up. I have set it up already in the settings and I can also see the respond in the graph when I try it out.

However in the game the paddles do not result in a shifting action. I do use the auto-clutch (as set by default) and I have disabled temporarly this "gearbox safety" setting (in the gameplay settings).

The shifting still works on the default keyboard keys (A / Z) however. So I guess a fine-tuning is required. I already played around with the linear / deadzones but it does not help... There is currently a conflict with the map zoom in /out for those settings but I guess this doesn't (should) matter, since I'm in the game and not the map?

THX for a direction and help here!

    Best regards
    Andre

    Hello

Found another guy with the same problem here: this respond also boils down the problem:

So is there a way to convert an axis into a button-like behaviour? As said, I tried to use the deadzone stuff to "shorten" the axis, but seems not to work either...

    Hello there
I have to say that I have a new controller and I have overseen the digital left / right triggers right above the analog triggers:

Those digital triggers can be used for shifting up / down. So basically this issue is resolved ;)
