Works fine for me. Clear your cache, remove other possibly conflicting mods, and redownload both files and make sure to overwrite the old ones.
"Finally my new car arrived. I hope I won't crash it like I did with my CCF2." "OH FOR *blurred* SAKE!"
yeah the Sunburst is far from complete (both facelift, coupe, etc), it needs more testing and things in the future to solidify it the EDX is definitely not of utmost quality but LJ put a lot of work into it and being that the Covet remaster is coming in the following weeks it only makes sense we give it some showtime now before having to go back to the drawing board for the Covet once again. Thank you for the comprehensive review and im very happy you're enjoying the mod
I’ll get to replying to Agent_Y’s awesomely thought through message, but about this: update your Core
found a fix for the glass not showing up when looking at it from the interior on the EDX step one: open materials editor in world editor (press F11, click "Window" in the top left and click the "Materials Editor") step two: find "hatch_glass_int" step three: scroll down and click "Advanced Layers", then click "Double Sided" step four: scroll up and click the left little save thing on the top right step five: enjoy if you want me to delete this for some reason kueso, i'll do it
I don’t want to quote it as it’s massive, but, to list my replies to the stuff targeted at my sunburst stuff (if the way I type this comes off as angrily, that was not intended): - The hybrid system was probably the most complicated thing I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on with Zeit (my parents have owned 3 Lexus hybrids so I wanted it in game, and thought this was the perfect opportunity), but as with anything complicated it’s bound to have issues. I’ve found the key to the Sunburst Hybrid is to not be insanely fast with how you operate it. - Thanks for the positive feedback! If you couldn’t tell, the 2015 Sunburst stuff took me ages, there are areas in which I’m not as proud, but I’m glad people are enjoying it. I caused @Kueso and @LJ74 a bit of a headache this morning, as transferring it into the pack after it being thw_kljp_sunburstfacelift since the start caused a (to quote Kueso) “myriad of issues”, literally preventing its upload. - The Sun-E range needs a tad more polishing, as there are a few things (such as some having insanely strong regeneration), that I’m just baffled about. Of course it all also needs its own parts, but thatll be coming in a future update once I’ve got some other modding done (Vertex Interior, CCF major update, Mondello, Centauri and Bulwark stuff, etc). To address some other complaints, the Facelift Coupe was slipped by my fault entirely, as what I was planning to do was give it the option and just not give it any configs (clutter). This was forgotten in me trying to get it release ready. An issue I knew about but no one has pointed out is the fact the Normal bump map isn’t that great, as my PC seems to like compressing normal maps over time specifically. What I’ll do is redo this map in the future (not entirely, just most of it), but in blender by baking it. If there are any Sunburst Facelift issues you run into, especially smaller things I likely missed, you can DM me on Discord (Theo W#8517), or if you can’t do that idm a forum DM. Either way, I’d rather know about bugs sooner rather than later, so I can create a list or whatever for a future update. For those wondering why there is literally only 1 texture that I’ve let the game cook it (sunburst_facelift_ao.data.png), it’s because my PC was corrupting it as DDS. I usually work with DDS and don’t even let the texture cook anyway, but @DaddelZeit (I still can’t thank you enough for the copious amounts of lua and time you’ve put into this) suggested letting it cook. I hope you all enjoy my part in this pack, and are with me in loving the rest of the work by Kueso and LJ, who have been super supportive throughout this thing. I hope this doesn’t just sound like me rambling on lol
Mod is great! most fun I've had with a mod in a while. PS, the f6 in the SBR can make upwards of 2500 hp without nitrous. I made a drag config but don't know how to upload it.
mine does this too i think it's some mod removing the sports 2X5/50R17 tyres, just put on the sports 2X5/45R17 ones instead
This will ruin the reflections, the inside of the glass is not even modelled, and it should be I can definitely tell that the facelift took a long time to make, anyone who followed the thread and saw the progress can, and the result is definitely worth it, it seems to be done properly as a mod, that one uncompressed texture is just a detail that shouldn't bother anyone.
Adding to my mini ramble, I forgot to thank my twin brother @Finn Wilkinson for the endless designing for this thing Most of the styling on the car is based/copied from his designs and drawings he’s given me The sun-e stuff hasn’t been modelled, partly because it hasn’t been designed lol Oh and some lore My part on kljp was originally just going to be Sun-E revivals from WBIMP, but I ended up persuading Kueso to let me make a 2015 facelift, with an absurdly short estimated start-finish time lol
No problem! I absolutely love how the whole facelift’s come to be in 3D form. I will get to the Sun-e parts soon I promise
If the Covet gets remastered, it's not really a problem. I can just duplicate the original Covet from 0.24 into 0.25 as a separate vehicle.
