You can go buy it from my Sketchfab if you want, and do with it as you please. That's all I can tell ya. --- Post updated --- I hope her beauty reaches Beam someday, dunno what Nekkit is doing with it now. But I'm currently working on a big freelance job. So I can't really get back on it, even though the modelling, for the most part, was done, just needs UV's and textures.
AFTER DECADES OF INACTIVITY IM POSTING SOMETHING SO UHHHH, I hab an e36, wanted to do a proper model of it, so I tried photogrametry, cause I knew I wasn't gonna get any good blueprint for it, much less a regular bumper saloon. Yes, it's covered in flour and masking tape, and the results show that it was worth doing it. Took like 200-ish images to make this, and used PolyCam to process it, very much suggest using it for photography, just costs 6 bucks a month. Now have also gotten to retopology, even tho it's more of a remodel, cause obviously the body isn't perfectly smooth and accurate, but this is just fantastic as a base for model creation.
I use meshroom a lot. I laughed seeing the flower. I did something similar when making a meshroom mesh of a bathroom sink. I poured pepper all over it to help it. You could always wait till spring time when pollen is all over the cars for some great photogrammetry car scanning.
You do really great work, I plan on learning how to create cars with good topography. It is a process that I am in no rush to learn. If you made any videos on great topography tips or modeling cars I would love to see them. Thanks ! I like the content Grant Abbitt produces.
jeez, when your job is 3d modelling, you dont want to spend much time on your own projects anyway, some proggers.
I have a surprise. Haven't posted this here yet cause wanted to do a better presentation of it. Made from a shitty photoscan of my e46. Consists of a lot of textures, a bit of a technique experiment.
oh yeah, what a great pre-facelift sedan, luv it so much. It's a crime that a particular sedan model is hard to find for some games. I hope you make a great model. In general, I myself am trying to 3D modeling now, but I'm still a noob, I would like to learn how to create and convert models into a game. Here are my attempts btw:
