if he spent around 150 hours over 6 months (1 hr per day). then that is 9.60 ish per hour. which is ok, but with all the experience and probs extra time (150 hours is an estimate). his hourly rate should probs be a lot more the UK minimum age is 9.60 per hour and 1420 euros is about £1250. after tax which is usually about 20% it will go down much more.
Well as you are clearly very experianced at mod making then coulodnt you sell your tips on it so other peole can make mods i know i would love to
I had a moment. I apologize. I enjoy maths even though I am bad at it (its the IT side of me I think). I guess I got a bit carried away
This dude contacted me asking if i want the Cherrier Picnic free.... Who in the freaking world would fall for something as stupid as that, ESPECIALLY on the Beam forums. Edit: Does it automatically convert to USD when i pay?
The quality of this persons mods are second to none, this one being no exception, I was going to say the attention to detail is as good as the vanilla cars but that would be un fair, this mod blows the vanilla cars out of the water (pls don't hurt me Beam dev's), great work as always! More than happy to support you make more excellent mods! Best £3 I've ever spent. This car reminds me of all the 90s hatchbacks that were everywhere when I was a kid, not so much any more.
His user is "GardropFuat" Also, finally getting the mod!!! --- Post updated --- Dude, i literally feel bad to crash this. IT'S SO GOOD!!! If you pay that 3.99 USD, it's so worth it!!!!!!!
I actually agree with you, I wouldn't expect Lucas to do it after all this abuse he has copped from the community, but if there was an in depth course thing for modding BeamNG I would actually pay for that. Learning on my own but with outdated tutorials, people not wanting to help and most of it being solely trial and error, I would love something like this. Anyway, back on topic, this is one of if not THE best mod I have ever used in BeamNG. The quality is outstanding. I do not regret my purchase one bit and I actually would have paid more for it. Those who think it should be free truly don't understand the level of work that goes into this, for all intensive purposes this could be released as a DLC and I know it would sell like crazy it's THAT good.
Completely agree with you Sad thing is that I’ve gotten far with models. But to get things in game, as a beginner is another question. There are some amazing people in this community that will help you though, including Lucas and AX53. Absolutely adore the Picnic, and as someone else said, people should be begging to get this mod for £3
There is a way to prevent it. But it require some work in front of it. They way How you provide your files, does matter. Such as a software which provides the mod only to work with a key. Account system ect. To make it really work, there should be some way of streaming mod files like you would from a BeamMP Server but encrypted of course in order to run these. I also recommend such ideas to BeamNG devs itself for they IP. And btw. a lorefriendly mod is less interesting to stealers then a real life based mod. As this here is only really interesting for BeamNG players, while the model itself isn't really gonna be interesting for "other" platforms. And those stealers are pretty lazy in most cases. If it becomes too complicated to get a french baguette, then they like to give up on it. Just explaining here my experience with it as mod creator for other games. Oh and Patreon is not save. I have seen webpages in the past which make it possible to view a Patreon profile like a subscriber just to get all access.
I'm guessing he means Lucas deserves that money, and the people who pirated the products are all jerks.
