I also wouldn't be surprised if the Civetta's had some delays, between how complex a project it is and all the management reorganising they've had to do since putin's shenaningans. I'm also intrigued to see what the map team has been up to in this time, if it's all been taken up by PBR conversions and adding traffic lights, or if they've got a surprise up their sleeves...
if i see any more words talking about this stupid war again, i am going to lose it. yes, the world is changing, and beam as a company has had to make a few changes based on it, but this is not the place to discuss those changes. it will just take a little longer for the update to come out. end of discussion
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they're implementing street signs, starting with downtown Belasco. I'd like to know if I'm turning onto the right road for the location I want to visit.
The SSRB map creator (that i forgot the name right now but is one of the devs) Stated that the Update of the map is only awaiting 0.25, so it could really mean something new about the maps
Still no evidence anything has made it beyond planning, sketches and renders. Thread needs to be locked
Yeah the clearly in-game covet teaser was just a myth and the whole team has been on a half year vacation completely ignoring the update schedule without a word to the community
It's clearly a render, the headlights show refraction which the engine doesn't support. Didn't say they were on vacation, just said the update was still in a very early stage even after all this time - which may make it the biggest one in BeamNG history when it's done
What? Its literally an in-game pic, look at the shading, look at the classic noisy shadow Either the headlights just have really good textures or they're adding refraction to the game
Nadeox said he is waiting on the 0.25 update to update SSRB when he was asked about AI waypoints, so I guess the AI is getting a revamp this update? This could also explain the discontinuation of 32-bit support, maybe the AI got too complex for those systems to handle.
Given the current Covet and the fact IRL am sleepy. I think other then the way the headlights shine, I think it looks to be in game other then that I may be wrong so take it with a grain of salt
BTW, we are not recording sounds like that on our own (or using traditionally recorded sounds at all) at this point in time (not practical/feasible), so we are not fully in control of what sounds we have or what they sound like.
Which is a bit of a shame because you don't have the utmost in freedom to create new sounds and process them in full detail (well, the detailed sound processing is already being done with the existing sounds but you get my point). With that said though, you don't need us to tell you that you're doing formidable work with the material (the sounds, in particular) you've got.
Why the heck would it still be in a concept stage when all other updates would have been already finished and hotfixed by now bruh this makes zero sense
Another week with no teasers, I reckon we've still got a long while yet until 0.25. I'm saying late May is probably the earliest it will come out.
