I followed stupid advice on how to get my game to not lag. What it basically told me was to change resolution to the lowest setting and go fullscreen. You can only see a little bit of the screen and that is unfortunately not the options part. So, I was just wondering if there was any way to fix that (I'm new to the game and community.) If not what do I have to do?

I can't remember exactly, but you can open the game's directory and there should be a file called options.txt or options.cs or something like that. Open that with notepad and press Ctrl+F and find "fullscreen" and change the variable from "true" to "false". From there start the game and readjust the settings.

If that's to complicated or my instructions are wrong just Verify Game Cache in steam by right-clicking the game. This will reset the entire game, including game settings and mods of official vehicles.

Also - what are your specs? It's possible (if not likely) that your CPU is the bottleneck, thus lowering graphics won't improve your framerate. If you select the Pigeon or strip down another car to its frame does your FPS skyrocket? If it does, then your CPU is to blame. If not, your graphics card is holding back and continue to lower the graphics settings. Make sure you disabled PostFX if so.

THANK YOU. I guess the lag is my graphics card because stripping the car does nothing. I'll disable PostFX and see if that helps. Also, I keep right clicking my game on steam and it isn't saying Verify Game Cache. Thank you so much!

Okay I started up Steam and the Verify Game Cache is found by:

    1. Right click game (BeamNG.drive)
    2. Click Properties
    3. Click Local Files tab
    4. Click Verify Game Cache

    My bad, try this out.

Step 1, learn to grammar. I don't like being a grammar nazi, but your keyboard has full stop and comma keys, please use them. Posts with zero punctuation are very hard to read. I ignore things like caps, misuse of there/they're/their etc, but run on sentances are where I draw the line.
Step 2. Memorable passwords and in the case of gmail make sure all security features are setup properly (as ironically its easier to recover an account with them).
Step 3. Email support, even if that requires making a new email address if you cannot recover your old one.

I suspect you may have lied about your age signing up which means you shouldn't be here.

Either that or it's another Awesomesauce.

Actually, you're not supposed to use a capitalized letter after a comma. :| Don't tell people they're wrong when you are the one that's wrong.
