Hello all. I'm not sure if it's happening to everyone but Small Island is louder than the other maps so you can barely hear the engine of the car. Is there a way of turning the scenery volume down.
    Thanks

I solved the problem by going to Beamng/art/sound/enviroment and used audacity to lower the volume of following files:

    amb_beach_close_01
    amb_beach_close_02
    amb_windtrees_01

I don't really remember how much, I think it was 6-7 decibels. Then just overwrite the original files and it should work.

That's the source for me, I'm sure the windows explorer search will find the files by the name.

Go into the sound settings and change audio provider from OpenAL to DirectSound and voila its fixed without audacity. Its actually an OpenAL bug.

Now that you mentioned that, this is what I also have done.

I'm sorry for original poster for giving misleading tips.
