You might aswell post it because someone has updated the BRZ mod without permission but I think he would like that someone is keeping the mod going
I agree that you should post it anyways. You already did enough work for me to not consider it a copy (more like a mod... of another mod lol) and you made it very clear that you are not the original creator of this mod, so I think that you should post the file anyway. If @yannis01186 comes back and it's mad, then they better update the mod and make it better or there's always gonna be someone copying it and fixing it and most of them are not going to be kind enough to ask for permission and/or properly give credit as you did here.
The original mod thread needs to be unlocked, and OP post PBR fix in replies instead of a new mod pack
As stated before, before the fix can be released, permission must be had by the original mods creator, so currently, you cannot find this mod anywhere. this thread is 2 pages long and u didnt read any of it?
Rather, it seems as if the original creator is in fact a large game company because of the model quality. I can't be certain of that, but I have a hunch.

If someone with more knowledge and/or info can confirm this, then I guess it's fair play to release this (as long as OP it's okay with "borrowing" the model from a said large company), since the rules allow it as long as it's properly credited. Also, I don't think this was done with malice on purpose, but citing the rule about assets from other users without showing exhibit 1, can be misleading, especially in this case. @ghs129 Since the "original" creator is unreachable (also arguably inactive), it was always allowed by the rules. Still, in my opinion, it came down to OP's ethics and everyone else's own judgment (to not develop a bad reputation within the forum) on whether to post or not.
Actually, I think there is some truth to this. I recently managed to open the mod's 3D files, which were corrupted, and it turns out that the 3D model of the body is very similar to the RX-7 from Forza Horizon. So I don't know what to do tbh. PS: The 3D model of this mod is a total mess, the enginebay is a flat surface with a jpg, and the engine itself is half detailed and half cube. So, if anyone knows where can I find a decent RX-7 body model, dm me! I'd do it myself, but basically I know nothing about modeling XD, Im just a guy who has fun trying to fix old mods.
For everyone wondering: It is actually pretty easy to PBR it yourself. Press F11 to open World editor, then search for a "window" tab at the top left and click it. Then choose Material editor. Then click the car icon in the middle of the car. Then you choose "rx7_paint" in the materials slider Then you scroll down a bit and click "Switch to V1.5 (PBR)" Then you scroll down a bit again and at "BaseColor Map" there is a box with "Instance BaseColor" ...you click that. And at "Metallic Map" you put the "Factor" slider all the way to the right. Afterwards you sroll down until "Roughness Map" and put the Factor slider all the way to the right again Then you scroll down even more until the "Advanced Properties" Drop down Menu and open it. Then at "Clear Coat Map" you put the Factor slider all the way to the right again and the "Factor roughness" slider all the way to the left Then you scroll up again and click save. Then you should have at least PBR paint if everything is done right.
This is NOT how you do PBR correctly, not only does it have lots of side effects but also it only works on the paint... Proper PBR is days of work. If a model is scratch made with custom textures and materials then this WON'T work properly because these changes will affect not just the paint but also other components and it will look super weird. For cars with models taken from other games, they usually have the paint as a separate material so it will probably work, but expect side effects too.
