I usually play on keyboard and only do mod testing on wheel, it's because I got used to it after not having working FFB and having to use keyboard for months before I discovered that my super old wheel somehow has FFB.

I do hope they fix the automatic and DCT transmissions, they're basically unusable without @default0.0player's wonderful mod if you're using pedals. Either way, I pretty much exclusively use manual in BeamNG because the simulation is possibly the best in any game to date - so there's no excuse for automatics to lag so far behind in quality, is there?

It's not meant to be a nagging question just a poll....

I play racing games on the keyboard and since the game I got my first computer, that is from 2009.

After so much time playing various racing games, I have to admit that the BeamNG on the keyboard is nice. You don't have to get tired, as in other games, the controls do not suddenly set your wheels at an angle of 45 degrees (as in Assetto). In BeamNG, everything that can be done on a controller can also be done on the keyboard. For me, it's a faster way than connecting the controller or connecting and adjusting the steering wheel.

The only thing I miss in BeamNG is the phone app, I would like it to come back with a lot of improvements such as controlling lights, shifting gears or even controlling the entire interface via the phone. The app gave something like a steering wheel because the control from it was more precise than from the keyboard and controller.

As for the DCTs, apart from the issues I noted in the powertrain thread, my only other gripes are two.
    1. The omission of the backfire sound effects during the DCT gearchanges and letting off the throttle on the FCV Vivace 230S and the S 350Q/S 410Q Arsenic versions. The backfires set the sporty 230S apart from the more pedestrian 160 version, with the same powertrain. And the 5-cylinder engine is the only one to not feature the epic backfire effects it did when the FCVs arrived in 0.19.
    2. The twin clutches hold up phenomenon when the R is enabled during accelerating forwards and pushing the gas (and vice versa, with the D being enabled while going backwards and pushing the gas), the revs rise to the limiter, then the engine reaches idle and then it accelerates after holding the revs at around 4000. And this is true of all DCT gearboxes in BeamNG.
Hope these two also get fixed.

As for the first issue (the backfires), here's what I mean.
    230S: @7:37 - 7:53

    5-cylinder versions

When did people start saying that the update is next week? if tdev said LAST WEEK "the update won't go out until mid next week" (correct me if i'm wrong), but that means THIS WEEK... Of course it can be false but I don't think so...

I don't think I ever truly appreciated what a quantum leap the last few updates have been in graphics quality - scrolling the dev media and microblogs from a while ago will make that clear. It looks like 0.25 will continue that trend - epic screenshots incoming

Tdev said last week : it won't come out UNTIL mid next week
If you can't understand basic sentences that means it will not come out early this week, probably thursday / friday. Wednesday would be possible but I don't think so. And finally next week would be a solution.

For speculation I'm hoping for tyre thermals, refuelling and obviously openable windows/doors

Tyre thermals was already referenced by tdev to be coming in 0.26, not 0.25

Where in my last post did I say "early this week"? Seems that I'm not the one that can't understand basic sentences
    --- Post updated ---
I don't think he meant next week's Tuesday, I think he said that because people yesterday kept saying and asking if it will come out today, and Tuesday isn't by any means mid week. Anyways he has the last word about that.

I think tdev said that tire thermals are coming in 0.26 in his qna thing he did here. Didn't say anything about refueling and openable windows (cause of no one asking about it), but that could be a possibility. Personally, I would love if they added refueling. Would make running endurances on tracks more realistic
