I got to thinking because of a comment on the BeamNG Reddit, there is an immense amount of possibility in a T-Series update/remaster. Currently the only model years we have for the T-Series are 1977-1986 (I think) but imagine if we had a whole slew of trucks sharing the conventional cab long hood style starting in the 1950s all the way to now, in 2022, very much like the Peterbilt 3xx trucks, starting with the 351 all the way to now with the heavily modernized 389. We could have that, but with the T-Series. How cool would that be!?
agreed, and along with just generally widening the appearance and production years of the semi, it could also offer more different engine types, from things like 2-stroke V8s, to modern EFI urea injected engines. as far as other factory stuff goes, while it is far-fetched, they could make the long-awaited Cab-Over variant, (or even a cab-forward variant if they want to add a garbage truck/fire truck. For tuned versions, there's plenty of potential, with hot-rod variants with dropped and stretched frames, circuit racing trucks, tractor pullling trucks (which tend to be pretty good at drag racing) and if they wanted a rival to the JATO bus, a jet-powered dragster truck be jut the right kind of outlandish.
Mods are usually nowhere near the quality of official content, and if they are close to dev quality then it's a really rare case. The reason being that moders struggle to get the same amount of knowledge and experience as the devs have. Would be better to have an official remaster.
WE NEED GARBAGE TRUCKS! Any load config for the containers is perfectly acceptable as long as the compactor works Also fire trucks would be very cool too but garb trucks first
something like a rangebox or twinstick style gearbox would fit well along with a detroit diesel style engine thats loud as hell, the t series is super outdated by this point and currently i feel like the only people who use it are people who wanna pretend they are truckers or someone just trying to destroy a car as much as possible
Well the GTG t-series expansion is pretty close. But I do agree that the devs should try some more stuff with the T-series
one of the parts i wish could be added to the t series are heavy duty two piece rims they'd fit perfectly with the dump upfit and cement upfit configurations
It would also be nice to see the interior improved, since the current one is extremely basic and plain even by 1970s standards
