Edit: I got an answer to help direct me in the right direction but still have one thing to fix: How do I get my custom configs to show in the vehicle selection menu, as now the only way I can use them is to load them from the save/load tab, when it appears that they should also show up in the regular vehicle selection menu.

Hello everyone, new to the forums. I whanted to search for information on a specific subject but I am not sure how that would be called so I will describe it here, hopefully someone can help with pointers on how to get the results I need.

What I am looking to do is build different custom versions of the default cars already in game like it is possible with Vehicle config in free roam, but those are not available to be used in time trial and that is were I whant to use them. I guess this would be like making a mod, but instead of starting from scratch, I just pick from the game's parts bin and build my own version of the default cars.

This kind of practice might actualy have a specific name that would make it easy to search for, but I have no idea what that could be, as my search attemp has resulted in mostly post about mod cars made from scratch.

    Thank you.

Your saved configs should be available in the time trial vehicle selector.

Thanks for the reply, confirmation that the Vehicle config is the way to go.

my problem still remains that the custom configs do not show up in the vehicle selection menu.

Go to Options > User Interface and enable the "Show custom vehicles in vehicle selector".

Thanks again, when you think something will be much more complicated, but it turns out was a lot easier. Time to rip the gravel in custom cars!!
