The problem with getting a motorcycle into Beam is that the rider is what keeps the motorcycle balanced. Without a rider, the motorcycle would be almost impossible to drive. Beam isn't interested in implementing a physical human model into the game as it would make their age rating skyrocket, but like YellowRusty said a page back, maybe the motorcycle could have a sidecar to eliminate the balancing problem?
This is when the informative button was considered “useful” to the community. Devs can’t take a joke imo. gets banned for saying just that Me: Nice
Please refrain from bumping old threads. However I've made a google drive for the zips: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1biPHI-XaM3eP6rECjcrDmx0UkozJ_4VO?usp=sharing The motorcycle is called 'sport-bike'.
https://www.modland.net/beamng.drive-mods/motorcycles/kawasaki-motorcycle.html hello i found bad motorcycle with autobello jbeam
hi welcome to the forums you did wha.... wait a minute you have been here for a whole year what are you doing still bumping threads?
Motorcycle will never work as good as cars, far from it. Since you cannot install FFB device from a gaming computer into your vestibular system.
Since someone's already bumped this thread I'm not at fault. Anyways, here's a possible way to add it: Right now, there isn't exactly a way to make something as small as a motorcycle drive with balance. Almost exiting Beamng.cursed territory, I think a Pigeon JBeam is the closest if you want it to actually feel like a bike and balance. Size? small, balances? yes, can tip over? yes. sure, crashes might feel like a mess, but an accurate JBeam Will NOT work(or maybe it can?). As for existing Motorcycle mods, They're not looking good. I've tried the Yamaha, and it quite literally, can not be driven. Maybe I'm not experienced enough? sure, But Even AI, on full awareness, 20 MPH limit, drives for a few seconds, then when it's time to turn, it does actually try to balance, but stills fails. Even AI fails to drive it! I even used training wheels!
Here's another way, is to add thrusters pointing sideways to help balance the motorcycle. The steering is the same as car steering. The larger the steering input, the more bank angle target will be, and said target is achieved by said thrusters. This makes driving feel more like driving in GTA, but at least the bike can be driven easily by both human and AI
