On the early morning of June 17, 2015, San Francisco police received a call from a resident on the outskirts of the city stating that they had observed somebody break into a semi truck and steal it. Officer Ryan White of the SFPD responded and located the truck heading onto Highway 1. A pursuit was initiated for 37 minutes, during that time officer Ryan White was joined by 4 California Highway Patrol units. At approximately 4:13 am, the suspect lost control at a high speed and crashed into 2 vehicles, killing 2 and critically injuring another. The suspect was left with minor bruises and no major injuries. This is what the scene looked liked after 20 minutes.
