yeah I did realise the fire wall is different to how I’ve done it probably will redo it slightly but as it’s lore friendly it’s not 100% accurate --- Post updated --- Definitely will consider the 4 door down the line and I have already modelled the pickup the pictures should be in this post somewhere! Yeah man definitely part of the inspiration was the new defender that was released i will be making one from scratch probably the one place I’m not as skilled at but hopefully can get some help with it down the line
I've been offroading in one of these before, one of the most bumpiest ride I've ever been on, gets it done though
was planning to make the doors shake when driving normally and try figure out how to make it sound rattly inside
you would probably need lua to simulate that, would be funny though. those land rovers look like they were built in the 30s lol
The name’s been decided already, and I honestly think it’s a great name. I don’t know why you keep trying to change previously established vehicle names.
yeah it might be lore friendly and all but it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to change the firewall as well
Idk why you would Jbeam it from scratch if you can just base it on the Hopper and heavily modify it to fit
Scratch made JBeams always behave much better than edited ones. Edited ones always seem to have deformation problems, it makes more sense to scratch make one.
Not if you never made a jbeam before, if he decides to make a scratch made one it'll either never be finished or it'll behave very weirdly.
It's just the matter of experience, if a new modder tries to make Jbeam from scratch then it will be way worse then if they based it on a vanilla car, so they just don't do it, and experienced modders can achieve good deformation regardless if it's scratch made or based on something, but scratch made can be way easier to work on for them because they will know exactly how it works
I get what you mean now guys. Thats a very fair comment. It honestly depends if he wants to spend months and months refining a custom JBeam to be good.
the point for this is so i dont have to focus so hard on modeling it to be accurate so i can spend time on something else, so ive made it work my own way so i can work on other bits so i have actually made a few scratch jbeams before in the past these were for a smaller easier to jbeam vehicle, what ill probably do is meshslap and modify it to work then make a new jbeam based of the modified hopper so i can remove any bits that may be unnecessary
