Ok so I looked into it a bit more and apparently the 4runner just normally leans forward irl and that is so fuckin bizarre to me but whatever.

Just stopped in to say thanks for the awesome mod! This truck has been the best thing I ever bought in my life and opened me up to so many fun adventures! Any way to get the upgraded air cleaner on the snorkel?

That's one badass rig! BTW, if you're using that snorkel for water fording, make sure to do the diff snorkel mod, and look into extending the transfer case and transmission breathers as well. It will increase your wading depth and prevent water uptake. I extended the breathers on my Jeep and I am able to go up to the headlights in water now without issue. It has come in handy many times.

Ever seen this thing run a lap of the Nordschleife? This genuinely was not terrible with ESC/TC off. Makes me love this mod even more, even with the hotfix ;)

That's not uncommon for vehicles designed to have any real load carrying capacity. Since any load added to the vehicle or a trailer will make the rear squat.

Wow! The automatic shifter animation was actually fixed in this recent update.

Edit: By the way, will there be a manual shifter (not transmission) added soon?

One more thing - a suggestion if you will since it's only a very minor thing - the license plate lights actually don't light up (though the texture does). I attached the Sunburst as a referencing point so you see what I mean. Doesn't bother me as much, but I think it'd be a nice addition (that is, if it's in the author's best interest).

Whoa, quite a handful of comments to answer, first of all, thanks for the kind comments, really appreciate them :) And now, let's begin:

Since not too many configs are present, shouldn't be an issue, so probably for the next update.

I feel moving the camera up a bit might be better, so I raised it a tiny bit so hopefully should be better now, moving the entire column and steering it's way messier for sure.

Ok, that was quite the oversight on my side, but I have to say if I never listed the Limited trim in any update is for a reason, I was experimenting with some sourced Limited bumpers to see if adding them was feasible, but in the end didn't managed to get a good result, so for the next update that will be deleted.

If it ever gets added in the first place, it will not be soon for sure...

Thanks, will fix this for the next update :)

    Hotfix is out!

    screenshot_2022-07-03_14-02-43.png
    • Added license plate lights glow (thanks to @hzwastaken_ )
    • Added MY2022 SR5 config
    • Added default colors for all configs (Now finally everything will work as intended, if you double click any config, except those which have an specific and unique color, the default color will load, but if you select any color before loading it, that color will load instead)
    • Raised interior camera in all dashboards to improve gauges reading
    • Removed test Limited parts
    • Fixed some tailgate interior elements (like the speakers) being lit when lights are on

Yep! The common lift when the inevitable time comes is a 3'' lift in the front and 2.5'' in the rear to level it out.

Also, what are you guys favorite maps to play on right now? I find myself just running the off-road trails on Test Area 54 as I find those to be the most realistic ones out there. Any other suggestions for maps?

I could expect it for a pickup truck but most modern suvs are level in ride height. I suppose the 4runner is still oldschool enough for that.

I mentioned this issue in particular because official content vehicles that have an animated automatic shifter and with a manual shifting mode do not behave in the same way as the 4Runner mod. Take the 800 Series, K-Series, Sunburst, and SBR4: the shifter in all of these vehicles moves when going from D to S, and after enabling manual shifting mode, it remains in that same position no matter which gear the vehicle is in. Shifting back to S, then D moves it back to the intended position for the latter gear.

On the other hand, the shifter on the 4Runner will continue to move away from the shifter console in manual shifting mode, which is what I pointed out. The vehicle in real life (and other modern Toyota/Lexus products) does allow for this mode, hence why the plus and minus symbols on the shifter console. Therefore, it's not really a transmission issue, but rather how the prop was coded in regards to manual shifting mode. Since the aforementioned official content vehicles don't have this problem, this is why I pointed it out and hope that it could be fixed one day.
Interesting, I'd assume this had to do with what ThatCarGuyDownTheStreet pointed out regarding the front end of the vehicle leaning forward. I did note that it could very well be just a visual issue that has no effect on the mod whatsoever.

Are there future plans for the 2010 pre facelift and other models (Limited, TRD Sport, etc) In the future?

I included the answer to this in the FAQ since it's getting quite a recurring question, a Limited version testing was already done, but since I can't achieve the quality I want with those, for now it's a no, unless I can work out a way to include the different parts in a way that doesn't scream cheaply done...
