I also don't particularly like it, it's fast, handles well, looks sleek and serious, but it's not fun and striking enough... it's too German for me But that's also why I'm excited to see it finally getting attention, i hope the update will bring more fun parts
In my turn, I like the ETK K-Series very much, as I equally like all BeamNG official cars. The K-Series in particular handles great, sounds great (well, the gas and diesel I6s at least because the gas I4 has an absolutely ill fitting sound for the modern and refined German engine it actually is) while both driving great in everyday errands and going like stink thanks to the excellent 8-Speed Torque Converter Automatic. It's just that it's got many omissions and imperfections due to the fact that, excluding some very important updates (both major and minor ones) and hot fixes, it mainly took a back seat to many other BeamNG cars during the past 6-year line of updates. These omissions and imperfections have been written down in the K-Series thread over the years, so now we'll just wait and see all the solutions for them applied to the remastered car (plus the respective ones for the 800-Series).
The shape of the headlights looks a bit different from actual.. maybe a facelift will be included with this tt-sport bodykit?
The gaps are different because of the widebody, they have a different angle and position on this bumper but are most likely the same shape
A mid engine sports car based on the Covet could work. you know because the MR2 is basically a mid engine Corolla I think. Well they are giving us a mid engine covet so they may as well give us a mid engine sports car that's cheaper than the Bolide.
Remember theres the mg metro group b car, the clio v6, golf mk5 with an bentley engine and it would probably look more like them instead of the the MR2
The mid engine covet he's referring to is probably the BeamNG version of the MG Metro 6R4, Clio V6 ( at least from what i can tell in TeaserTuesday)
A small, 2-seater, mid engined sports car that's not the shape of the Covet? That's actually amazing, hadn't thought about it! And for competition, Soliad can also make such a car by using the existing transverse Bruckell 2.2/2.5 I4s and 3.3/3.8 V6s (plus the 4.4 V8 lying in the parts selector), for a pleiad of versions, from plain Jane commuters to hot rod bruisers!
I feel like the k series has barely been updated since it's release More than that, the Corolla is fwd, mr2 obviously isnt
The reason he mentioned the MR2 is because it has its powertrain mounted transversely, just like the Corolla, so it's easily swappable between the two cars. That's also the reason why I think Soliad can also make a competitor to the proposed Covet variant, because Bruckell and Soliad shared the same transverse I4 and V6 (and, potentially, the V8) powertrains back then.
the front grilles are filled in, i wonder why, maybe a electric version? i could be competently wrong,
I noticed the air curtains on each side of the front bumper, for giving more front-end downforce. I hope the vents on the fenders get functional too (they're fake in the current state of the car) so as to complete the aerodynamics package at the front end of the car.
I'd really like them to because, in the latest updates, we see some complicated aero aids. The GTT Radiator Duct and the Race Radiator Duct to match the GTT Hood and Race Hood (both of which have vents on them) on the remastered Bolide, the Race Hood and the headlight-to-cowl air ducts on the Scintilla (plus the flying buttresses plus the GTs Corse's fixed rear wing with the open slot, a la Lamborghini's ALA - these are features we've never seen in a BeamNG official car before) and the hood vent we saw the remastered Covet will have, all these features suggest an update of the aero simulation model.
