Springfield Hello everyone, over the course of about 2 hours I was able to import the entire map from The Simpsons Hit & Run into BeamNG.drive. The map of course, needs some work, but for the most part I have a functioning port of Springfield in BeamNG.drive. The map is currently about 50% done, with most of level 1 being complete and areas of level 2 and 3 being partially textured. This will take a while to finish so please everyone, be patient. No, you cannot be a beta tester, no, asking for it to be released will not speed up the process I don't really know what else to say except; Credit goes to Radical Entertainment for this awesome map and me for porting it to BeamNG Here are some of the photos of the progress made so far Spoiler: Progress
Awesome, i loved that game as a kid, damn i should replay that game and take a visit down memory lane
I dont even know what simpson is, some kind of minion human thingy idk. But all i know is this map looks cool
You dont know of the Simpsons? Really? they are one of americas longest running and probably one of the most popular tv shows of all time
well if you do start watching it at some point, don't watch anything past season 15 as it's just unfunny from that point on
The car is private sorry, but thank you. Also, no updates as of yet (sorry) been busy working on a few mods simultaneously and this has been sitting idle for a few days but I should have the rest of the textures done by the end of the week if all goes well
Made some progress but hit a small roadblock. If you're watching the unity engine remaster videos, you'll be aware of the difficulties in doing dynamic assets such as lightpoles, bins, fire hydrants etc. There isn't an easy way to do this for BeamNG so I will likely need to place all these objects manually and there are a lot. Just letting you all know there will be a delay due to this but that the map is still being actively worked on
Springfield's coming to BeamNG! First off this is going to be such a nostalgic map and actually being able to explore Springfield is even better! Keep up the good work Y'all!
Little update: there has been no update. No but like fr I was in hospital and had surgery so I had a small break understandably. I have since completely textured level 3 though so that means level 1 and 3 are done texture wise although they still need lightpoles, bins and other various decorations
