The mod needs some few approvements Approvement needed: The Turning should be improved too Stronger Brakes The Turret rotation speed should be lowered And my suggestions are: Maybe add a Metal Tracks A snorkel Machine Gun able to rotate (if theres an available button for it) Thats what I have in mind rn, if I have any mistakes please do correct me
Turning has always been absolutely terrible on this mod and I have completely no idea how to make it good Brakes are strong enough, but there is a weird bug that parking brake is ineffective no matter the strength of it, and also braking distance is high because they lock up and it slides I wanted to lower turret rotation but I saw people not liking how slow it was before, it's the same speed as in the previous update now Full metal tracks would be so heavy that it wouldn't be able to drive, current are half rubber half metal Snorkel is a good idea but idk where it would be Machine gun can't rotate on its own but the turret has fast rotation so it's not an issue
Both were made by stoat muldoon, this tank has the jbeam of the simple tank but the original simple tank was taken down by him as well as the mark iv, im not sure why though
ah, nvm about the tracks then i guess, but yeah the snorkel is a good idea, maybe at the top back part of the turret? judging by the reference images of different t-80s with the snorkel equipped in google
Then maybe someone else can update the mod and add it, I can provide my assets, I'm tired of working on it, that's why it was released early with issues
Oversteer still occurs in the race and drag models, the "elimination" of oversteer on standard models are due to high friction and low power(unable to unsettle the tank) This happens on all tanks, apparently
Ah yes, the parking brake is what I'm talking about, its moving on its own and stuff, And the Turret rotation, maybe add some 2different config for it, a normal speed which lowers half the speed the Tank currently has and the second one that we currently have, Because when turning the turret around 30-60kmh it's very odd how the Tank shakes and sometimes the tracks goes on top on one of the wheels either side So maybe having 2 different turning speed and all would be a bit better for a moving tank. That's my suggestion I'm not looking forward for an update / bug fix anytime soon since you earned a break after making this absolute beast of a mod but I'm just putting out my idea here Edit: Or maybe lower 25% of the Tank rotation --- Post updated --- This is where the snorkel's located

I think that the caterpillars should not go beyond the armor like that, the fact that they are orange is my problem, I have not cleared the cache
Minor update: Tuned the 4-speed automatic transmission to make shifts super smooth Tuned steering logic to make the tank more responsive Removed the noisy gearbox sound as it was much louder than the engine sound Reduced braking torque from 1000 to 10 to make the brakes more linear Increased starter torque to be able to start drag engine Increased coolant volume to remedy the glitchy temperature gauge in Drag

Love the machine gun, tank actually breaking into bits, better traction and everything else =) --- Post updated --- Small note about smoke grenades - the source below says that T-80 had 4 launchers on each side (8 in total) and 24 grenades. source - https://man.fas.org/dod-101/sys/land/row/t80tank.htm Thus it had an option to launch smoke grenades 3 times before depleting the ammo.

What the heck this doesn't happen to me Maybe it might be that overall the rotation speed is somehow different for me than for others??? --- Post updated --- Would be really hard to make it launch the grenades more than once, I can't do that
Small update: Updated Authors fields in some parts to include @default0.0player where he changed stuff Removed turret lock binding because it's broken idk why and it's useless now anyway. You can bind it back if you want but it's still broken Adjustable turret rotation speed, default is lower than before Turret attachment can deform, affecting the angle. This should solve the popping out issue If someone can add the snorkel, go ahead, but I don't think I can model one. About launching multiple grenades, I have no idea if it's possible, and also more smoke gets really laggy so it's not a good idea regardless.
