i know its old but will there be some unrealistially big engines and superchargers and high performance parts like radiators
Gearing is still broken, 1st is too short so the engine drops like 3500 rpm which just makes it practically stall.
you think that just by waiting (with no updates to the mod at that) the gearing will magically be fixed?
Calling you out for believing mods magically update and for being off topic contributes a lot more than powerstroke jokes
(will delete if the author doesnt want this) quick mod that adds an improved transmission and rear final drive that lets the vehicle get up to more realistic speeds, as well as a custom config that uses these parts
Hello yall im reworking certain stuff for the 1.3 update! new badges original (1931-34)(1st pic) and facelift added (1934-37)(2nd pic) the radiator is part of the design now, ive been told that they were part of the body i4 moved back to be more centered i8 removed cabin has more space now (thats why the i8 doesnt fit anymore, in a future update i may do a lwb and add it back) ENGINES: i4 4.3L (1931-1934) i5 5.4L (1932-1937) v8 7.1L (1934-1937) View attachment 942359 View attachment 942360 View attachment 942361 interior remake (gauges are burnside) View attachment 942363 underbody remade View attachment 942370 Now i will address some comments this is an issue since im using the burnside front suspension, hence cant do much, and if it was done it would be as bad as the rear leaf springs (i suckkkkkk at suspensions) Probably will do some stupid engine stuff as i always love to, first i gotta get the base car done and properly done ill tweak to fix it, maybe if i get perms from JowoX90 for the addon he made ill use that code (repo reviews) "A rear sway bar would make this thing top notch, otherwise its pretty friggin cool" rear suspension is fucked up already, dont wanna touch it and absolutely nuke it, and also idk how to do it "I've been with this mod since you posted the forum for it but one more thing would be nice. a rear licence plate would be nice." Planned, facelift and prefacelift will even have different placements "Honestly this is an amazing mod overall. I absolutely love the style of this ride. I just wish there were just a few changes/addons: 1. Make RK's custom engines compatible 2. Make "Aftermarket Transmission mod" compatible. 3. Add a proper rear suspension 4. add some type of roof. Other than that it's an amazing mod. Keep up the great work." 1. thats up to RK 2. thats up to the modmaker 3. tried but failed 4. interesting thing, maybe, but the point of this car is being a 1930s race car, those didnt have roofs "I loved this mod! Can you please do something like a dual sided hood as well as dual exhaust too?" V8 is planned so yes "I love when mods to my taste like this suddenly appear out of nowhere. For months I've been wondering when a pre-60s vehicle would come to BeamNG again, and here it is! It feels absolutely terrifying without rear suspension, I love it. The gearbox ratios are ridiculous and you feel like a mad scientist when driving this. Thank you for making this. However, a few things that I think should have some fixes, is the cooling, and the interior. The dashboard has a strange leather, and personally I think it would look better as metal, and the interior gauges, like someone else said, look a bit modern. Perhaps use an old bugatti racer as inspiration? " cooling was fixed on 1.2 interior being remade gauges are burnside cuz i despise making tachos, i cant make em accurate "Feel like it's 95% there, but needs a few things: Some kind of livery with race numbers a grille without headlights to better simulate a Grand Prix/Indianapolis car of the era Cycle fenders to better simulate a street/Le Mans type car. a bit longer gearing, especially with the I8 - the stock I8 race car will top out at the end of 1/4 mile. Power seems right about where it should be for the late 1920s/early '30s at least for a Grand Prix car, with the I8 actually making more power than the Bugatti Type 51. Not sure on a Miller engine of the era, but apparently supercharging was common with those, so maybe a blower might show up on the Gavril as well. " liveries will exist, but first i need to make every part of the car properly so i dont mess up skins while fixing other stuff fenders are planned superchargers will come out after im done with the base thing, sorry for no tuning atm "i'm so sorry. I respect your project, but this project needs many fixes and improvements: suspension, dashboars, engine cooling system. 5/5 for idea, 3/5 for quality (for now)" cooling was fixed on 1.2 suspension cant do much dashboard is remade Man it almost took me the same time to texture the interior than to write this anyways have a good time
oh shit this looks sick. gonna miss the i8 and the config i made tho but shit happens and yeah youre more than welcome to use anything ive made for it if youd like
"cant do suspension" then ya learn how. also this is barely a race car and more of just a sports car now (though i cant see any real good way to add a roof or anything with the style of the car) the car could probably also seat two people but theyd probably be squashed a good bit so still basically is a single. anyways heres an interior reference Note how the dashboard is just a plate of metal with the gauges just sorta placed into it with no separate box or anything (current interior looks like it was cannibalized off a retro car made to be similar to this lol) also i doubt leather would be used for an interior apart from seats and maybe the steering wheel. other stuff would be wood, cloth, or metal. also since its a race car supposedly i doubt luxury would really be in mind so maybe just call it a sports car with racing variants. as for gearing, i say make the 1st gear get you up to maybe 25 or so then 2nd up to maybe 55 and then you just cruise in 3rd the rest of the way. --- Post updated --- as for taillights maybe make them hang below the fenders and on no fender versions stick out the side of the body like 0-(car body lol 10/10 representation)
i tried for a week to fix my suspension, i edited other suspensions to fit into this one, didnt work, i did that rear suspension around 4 times before i had a barely functional one (1.0 suspension) then Mancho tweaked it and its now drivable, i dont want to try again. and from what ive found out, leaf spring jbeams are 3x harder than a more common suspension like double wishbone or macpherson struts so i wont be giving it a try. the interior ive chosen is made of wood and metal, and its more flat now, still not completly flat, the gauges are barstow gauges but simplified and with some readings removed, as i also couldnt get the other gauges to be properly accurate. Oh and its a sports car more than a race car, i just called it race car lol, will change it --- Post updated --- also ik its not realistic to have an i5, i just needed one
