Each one is hated by some people, but there was one in particular, I don't remember the number, which broke like 40% of all mods, thankfully the good ones were fixed quite fast
Not that update lol, it was hilarious that people complained about the tires, the one I'm talking about literally made some mods not spawnable or completely broken otherwise. Completely rewritten Jbeam loader and lots of undocumented LUA changes did that, it never happened again thankfully.
None of them! EDIT: However, if I had to pick one, it would be 0.16 because I feel like it didn't really add a lot of content aside from the EV version of the Hirochi SBR4 and tweaks to the Italy map. It was also controversial because of the updated vehicle body shapes, which caused a lot of older mods to break. However, I understand it had to be done because it made the vehicles more realistic and it was for the better.
oh 0.24 definetly, it was rushed out the gates, broke the ui and the new car, the bastion, wasnt there. i honestly dont know anyone who didnt complain
None. But I if I had to. I'll say 25. Am not interested in Super cars. But it's just my personal opinion. Also update 24 have us 2 remasters. Then a mouth later another remaster we well as the amazing bastion witch is my go to car for Morden. It's a beautiful car Anyway The super car is amazing. And hard crafted art. But every update is amazing.
Game updates I've been fine with for the most part. Something I will never forgive the devs for is the move away from vBulletin to whatever the hell forum system they use now is. That move was like 8 years ago and I'm STILL salty about it. Worst update they ever made to anything.
any update after 0.22 if you're running amd hardware also 0.16 was kinda a nothing update tbh that'd probably be my pick
0.25 for me. It was hyped to hell and back, and once it was released to me, I was disappointed. Scintilla, cool but what happened to all the other features that were more than less confirmed? Lmao. Hopefully, 0.26 includes things that were more or less confirmed in 0.25 and that potential ETK remaster. IDK, I was disappointed with 0.25, and my expectations were already low.
I've enjoyed every update since i got the game in spring 2017 (right after 0.10 i believe? Whenever the legran was first released) But I have to agree with some of you that 0.25 was a bit underwhelming. It's as great as any other BeamNG update, but the 8 month wait kinda gave more expectations for the it. And the fact that the changelog was hinted to be the biggest one so far, yet it didn't really feel like it.
.25 didn’t have an ETK remaster ever planned, it was the Covet last time I checked. However I find that 0.25 was a pretty satisfactory update, as the Scintilla is the most polished car they’ve made and the game had a lot of “fit and finish” updates like that map stuff and lots of new missions, which all points to next update’s potential “early career mode” teased by tdev.
The brief removal of the deformation save/load feature immediately comes to mind Personally, I never liked the introduction of cooling system damage - seeing cars go out due to something other than deformation just isn't fun (same thing with oil pan damage). Yes, it's realistic; No, I do not care Overall, Beam has been pretty good at avoiding regressions, though it would still be nice to have the full list of versions available on Steam, like some other games have, if for no other reason than to allow the use of abandoned mods (like mine ).
