Are you sure? I've researched a bit but International does in fact make their own MRAP called the MaxxPro based on the 7000 series chassis and uses Navistar engines. Meanwhile most do seem custom made, there are a few examples from other countries that are also based on pre-existing trucks, such as this one based on the unimog chassis
I think that what is needed is a lifted up suspension ,armored plates from bottom and a Tires wheelcaps etc
It is much more in depth than that however I'd like to look into it sometime, perhaps with the later gen Durhams (probably gen 4, look at this timeline to get your bearings right) where the manufacturing date matches up closer to the times the MaxxPro and similar were produced. Or, I can look into older models on the current chassis. Lots of options Don't worry though, stuff like this will most likely come as additional updates later on
I plan to base it on a class 6/7 chassis so it would be more like the latter. I will take inspiration of the Bluebird buses based on Chevy frames
Exactly. However like I said, no promises on it being completed though, it's just an idea for now and there are a few buses being made by others already
I meant that everything is different apart from chassis and engine... I just think it's a configuration that's alot of work
