farewell beamng <3 thank you all, so, so much. i know it's very uncommon to write letters in the BeamNG community, but i just wanted to clear up some things before i leave. hi. my name is ben, otherwise known as "thebeamnguy" in the community. in february of 2021, i joined the community. i used to help the community with questions or concerns - replying to mod posts, forum pages, etcetera. as of writing, it is january 29th, 2023. i haven't been active in this community in well over a year. most of it has to do with personal, ongoing life issues, and also with me deleting BeamNG entirely. it was taking up my storage space and i really didn't have much interest playing BeamNG during that time period. so, i deleted it. didn't look back, didn't re-install, nothing. but i deleted it, not just because it was taking up my storage space, but because of this community. for the short, half a year period i was active in this community, i saw how ignorant, childish, and just downright rude this community could be. there were people arguing left, right, and center, people being rude to each other, and people who didn't give a fuck at all. while it might not have hurt me, it hurts others. you never know what the person on the other side is going through. while this community holds a special place in my heart for creating these spectacular mods, maps, and other things, this community should reflect. think before you send. this will be the last post i’ll ever make. if i ever do come back, know that it is only because BeamNG is such a special game. have an amazing, wonderful, and postive day. all things have to come to an end, someway or another. this is my farewell. ben, thebeamnguy.
