As for the animated shifter update, I hope the Pigeon gets the 5-Speed Manual Shifter of the Wigeon in its parts selector because the 5-Speed Manual Transmission is also available in the Pigeon and having the 5-Speed Tranny with the 3-Speed Shifter is just plain wrong.
FYI, the Wigeon has been having the 5-Speed Shifter ever since it got released in the 0.23 Update.

What i can tell the lack of a ( passenger ) mirror makes me think is the Base DX.

BUT isnt he DX a 4-Speed?

You can see the shifter is a 5 speed shifter ?

SO maybe they working on new shifters?

or maybe its a new version. ?

Unless the DX has a 5 speeder now?

Also i hope the base model loses RPM counter LOL.

Anyway just more Hype lol I cant wait to get my hands on it LOL

There might just not be any mirrors as previously mentioned

Yep, the base 1.5 DX is carburetted, has a 4-Speed Manual and no right mirror. And these features set it apart from the slightly more expensive 1.5 DXi, with Fuel Injection, a 5-Speed Manual (with a 4-Speed Automatic as an option) and a right mirror. So it would make a boatload of sense to make different manual shifters to go along, just like I said about the Pigeon and Wigeon cousins.
Tbh, I'd really like to see the 1.5 DX have no rev counter because the sole purpose of this version is basic, cheap transportation without any frills. It would even make sense to keep this version painted in white colour, just like now, because it is the best colour for high temperatures, helping with keeping the interior temperature on a decent level and making the air conditioning system use less energy. So the message of fuel economy gets even stronger with this version.

I guess that would be a placeholder while they're working out the animation, they'll probably work on the details after the important stuff is sorted out

A 90's base model B-segment car would never have aircon. A/C only really became mainstream in that segment in the mid 2000's. If Beam were to be realistic, only the very top-spec Covets of that time would've been equipped with it.

To put it into perspective, my mid-spec '94 Volvo 480 ES (larger C-segment) which cost the equivalent of near £30,000 in today's money doesn't have A/C - it was a £700 option.

You're right, base model A- and B-Segment cars of the day didn't feature A/C as standard, so the Covet 1.5 DX and 1.5 DXi versions shouldn't feature it either. As for the mid-grade 1.5 LXi and the sporty 1.5 ZXi and 1.5 ZXi Special Edition versions, they should keep it as standard equipment as long as they also have ABS included too (which they don't and it's kinda shame).
Back to the Aircon matter, on the other hand, it's also depending on the climate of each country. Take Europe for example: countries with cool climate, like the UK, Germany and Sweden, don't necessarily need it as standard equipment while countries with warm climate, like Italy, Greece and Spain, absolutely need it to be standard. I mean, here in Greece, the last city car I remember to not feature the aircon in its absolute base version is the 2005 Toyota Aygo along with its PSA Groupe siblings - afaik, this car sold no copy here in this absolute basic version because everybody bought the second cheapest one, which had it as standard. Other city cars of the time, like the Daewoo/Chevrolet Matiz, the Hyundai Atos Prime and the Suzuki Alto, had it as standard right from the get-go. My used '98 Atos MPV has it included but I guess it was still optional back in the 90s, as was the power steering, which my car doesn't have - although there was a plethora of no-cost equipment upgrading offers by Hyundai back then and until ~2010, so that could've sweeten the deal by quite a lot!

There is a certain joy you get when you drive the cheapest version of a car. Knowing that you can't have any more removed from it. My second car was a 2003 base focus. It had no ac (from the factory), no power locks, no cruise control, manual windows, a manual transmission, two airbags, and not even a mirror on the sun visors. I loved that car, and it's a shame I had to get rid of it. There was a certain charm to having to floor it to keep going highway speeds. Too bad the oil drain plug decided to rust-weld itself to the car...

Oh yes, my Atos has no comforts - manual windows, manual transmission, manual mirrors, no cruise control, no power locks, only one passenger sun visor mirror and no airbags. Not even a driver's airbag. But that joy I can understand and relate, as long as I'm in a good enough state to do it. In other words, the A/C is necessary to me and the Atos has it. I have no problem with no power steering though, as I get a great road feel, so the joy is still kept! ;)

Laughing. I have '95 Corolla with (working!) power locks, AC, power brakes and steering and its all standard stuff with the joy of being a manual with manual windows and no airbags, you guys must have absolute bargain basement shitboxes

The Beater Covet is a shitbox. My Atos is a perfectly running car and surprisinguser1's Focus would've still been a perfectly running car. ;)

I literally logged in just to add my 'Agree' on this comment. It's seriously difficult in it's current state, I'd even take it being bound to the parking brake instead lol

Not really sure about this one. I mean, if you're gonna launch on a grade, you're still gonna need a third foot for holding the brakes. Makes no difference.

You can use the handbrake to keep the car still in that case

So you're saying we must defeat the whole purpose of launch control, which is having a quick getaway from a standstill. Now that makes sense, doesn't it?

me to. But i think next week is better chance. or the one even after that ( 2 week is the pattern ) BUT its not promised. We had one last week. most likely NOT tomorrow.

Seeing Covet is done. I think next teaser will be ( possibly ) sedan/wagon/ What ever body if there is a new body. And/or Covet face lift.

Or it maybe the ETK remaster/parts update/

    Or something else.

I don't think we're going to see a new map until at least .27, maybe to coincide with the initial release of career mode. I think IF we get a teaser today, it's gonna be the Covet again
