Are you planning to make some changes to the drift steering on the vehicle? In my opinion the steering angle isn't even close to enough. Would be so cool to have some other cars to drift with than the 200BX.
So i don't know if it's just me, but the radio seems to be affected by the thing that muffles sounds in driver view.
Just some feedback. I also don't know how hard this would be to implement. But would it be possible to have the glow map for the neon match the color of the neon settings? For example the neon glow map is blue. but when you change it to red the glowmap is still blue even though the light is red. even the preset neon colors the glowmap color does not match. If possible it would be great if this could be changed. Otherwise fantastic mod.
Beater gauge lights dont go out when you turn the ignition off --- Post updated --- why does removing the windshield remove the interior camera
Looks like ailerons and rudder have reversed control in Vertex Airways configuration. When I steer to one side Vertex roll and turn to another in the air. Wheels turn in right direction both on the ground or in the air.
im fairly sure that's meant to simulate the wings starting to give up, since they rip near to that speed iirc
a small bug with the double decker part showing a no texture in the centre screen with the bottom car having the race interior but its fine with the base interior hope this is an easy fix
Well it already has a 70% front bias. I guess I could make it an LSD in the middle because an open diff would just send all power to the front of it has the least grip. The reason I set it up that way is because it was already set up like that pre-rework and it worked. It also made making battery upgrades and defining the torque curve much easier. I guess I could change that in s later update if i figure out how to make my custom EV lua work with the frontMotor/rearMotor stuff Well I did fox a few minor bugs. I have had no major bug reports that had any info about them apart from „mod no work“, which isn’t helpful. The vertex also appears to not be compatible with another mod as I was told read the repository description of the vertex. There is a link to a tutorial delete everything you have about the vertex. Clear cache. Download the vertex again. If that doesn’t work then idk what’s up with your game Fact is, I don’t know what those sensors are for. My guess would be that it’s for some adaptive cruise control feature or something. Also yeah I have noticed the long gearshifts, it does that when you don’t drive aggressively for some reason The driver camera was replaced with a differently named camera in order to avoid having interior muffling. That is because I didn’t want sounds to be muffled despite the car literally having no windows. It’s like that on any config without windows. Just press C a few times to get to it. i changed the camera name intentionally. Pressing 2 switches to the driver camera but that doesn’t exist here so it doesn’t work. --- Post updated --- Maybe. A supporter of this mod wanted to work on changing the widefap suspension a bit and making drift steering have more angle but I haven’t heard anything yet. The reason the steering is so relatively limited is a suspension geometry issue. If I I crease the lock any further, the suspension starts dipping down at full lock. Plus wheels can get stuck at high angles when forces move it too far. because EVs can burn too (more often actually) I tried to remove the particles it makes but for whatever reason trying to do so makes the whole fire thing just not work at all. I also tried to get rid of the UI message but the two things are linked. The tuner bumper is made like that on purpose to support center exhausts as well as side exhausts. The NOS injection clips through the FSWWERKS intake cover because I couldn’t make the mesh account for everything on the engine so I just left it there that is something that can’t be changed. You can’t make custom sounds unaffected by the interior muffling. BeamNG’s Support for custom sounds is lacking. I guess that doesn’t work then, sorry about that I only put it up on Ko-Fi The beater gauges are intentional. The camera being removed is intentional too. It’s replaced with one with a different name to remove interior muffling. Just press C to get to it. That is not possible, you can’t affect Material colour via Jbeam settings without some custom lua. Idk how to affect materials with lua tho so yeah. I guess i can make it an html screen. Yeah I’ll do that, thanks for the idea. I’m aware. I reset transforms on the rear driveshaft and to get those correctly again to set a rotation axis for the shaft would require some trial and error again but I can see if I can do it i can add a diesel fuel cell That is on purpose because that’s how I fly flying things in games. I didn’t think it would be an issue so I guess I‘ll change it because nobody can fly it apparently. You can change the aileron input by applying a part in the parts menu, under the roof wing part. Like mentioned in the config description. well it’s not intentional, more a Limitation of my jbeam. But yeah, just don’t go faster, there’s a reason I made that UI message come up whenever you fly too fast oh I did not think about that one, yeah that’s an easy fix. The top body doesn’t call another HTML screen because the game doesn’t like two of the same screen being called from the same vehicle
It can be done. Take a look at my Pigeon Flamethrower mod. It's essentially thousands of fuel tanks breaking one by one when you hold the fire button, and it doesn't have these issues (at least didn't have in 0.24, haven't checked it since). With a specific setup you can definitely achieve it, look at fire.lua, energyStorage.lua and fuelTank.lua. Or even better, you don't have to make it a fuel tank at all, you can just make a simple LUA script that manually adds fire when a specific beam breaks (which I should have done for my flamethrower, would have been 10 times easier lol).
