Beamng starts running slowly overnight

FIXED: my laptop started using integrated graphics instead of dedicated graphics. No idea why it switched to this by itself tho.

Yesterday, I could play with graphics at their maximum, on the most complex maps with 6 cars in total and tabs running in the background, all that at 60 fps. Now i'm experiencing fps drops on gridmap with graphics set to lowest and without having any cars loaded in. I haven't used my laptop since yesterday, my drivers are up to date and it doesn't look like I have any viruses or malwares installed. I tried verifying the game's files, deep-cleaning the game's cache, and restarting my laptop, but the problem persists and I can't find anyone having the same problem, neither here, in reddit or in the steam community. I can't reinstall the game right now for personal reasons, but I'll do it as soon as I can. Until then, do you guys have any idea what's going on and how to fix it?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600h
GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 Laptop
RAM: 15.3 GB
OS: Windows 10 Home 64 bits

 

Just a guess, but sounds like your laptop is using the intergrated graphics to run Beam instead of the dedicated GPU
Try setting BeamNG.drive.exe to use the high performance GPU (the 3050) in Settings-Display-Graphics Settings.
(Beamng.drive.exe file path can be found by browsing BeamNG local files from Steam)

possibly an update? had a pc once that i turned on one day and was for some reason in black and white mode for some reason
