I have played Beamng for a few months now, since December. The triggers worked fine, even with mods. one day they stopped working. I can still seee the highlighted butons, but they do nothing when I click them. What should I do to fix this, and who else has had this issue?

Do you experience this issue in Safe Mode? (Launcher -> Support Tools)

I'll test it there and see. Does deactivating mods do the same thing?

I tried it in safe mode and they work. Do you know of any mods that can cause this issue?
I have a decent amout of mods, so that is most likely the issue

i removed all mods but 1 (the updated Vertex mod), and nothing changed? what happened? the Vertex is COVERED in triggers, and ive seen people use it without issues.

You need to clear cache after disabling mods

ok. i tried clearing the cache a few times, deact9vating all mods but the vertex, and removing the mods and putting them into a separate folder on my desktop, and not much changed.

    Please follow these steps:

    - Open your Userfolder (Launcher → Manage User Folder → Open in Explorer)
    - Navigate one level up and find the folder with the latest version of the game
    - Create a backup of this folder by renaming it, for example, `0.25 backup`
    - The game will create a new folder and then you'll be able to move your mods one by one until you find the broken one.

Please do not move all your mods at once, as you may miss the broken mod causing the issue.

Is there a quicker way to do that? I have 508 mods, so that will take a while to do. Most are deactivated, does that do the same as removing/deleting them? I have heard a lot of different answers.

edit: now thinking about it, the amount of mods might be the problem. do you know if a high number of mods can cause issues?

You should never have more than 100 mods, the game clearly warns you about it and this is why you should have listened. There is no quicker way. Deactivated mods should be the same as deleted after you clear cache, but deleting is much faster.

I decided to delete all my mods and do a deep cache clean, and clean the cache from the old version, and the issue is still here. I am not sure of what else to do anymore, anyone know what I should/could do?
