Based on the lightweight 4 cylinder buggies commonly seen in desert racing, the Trackfab Apache is a lightweight RWD buggy powered by a 2L engine taken from the Pessima. Even with slightly less than 200hp in stock form, the sub 1000kg weight, combined with more than 20 inches of suspension travel makes it quite fast in the open desert. For those wanting more power, touring car internals and nitrous lets you push the power to undriveable levels. FAQ : Planned release date? Soon™. Depends on how nice the weather is on the weekends, and what I feel like working on. Does this replace the unlimited? Not really. This is built from the ground up as a lighter and smaller buggy, similar to a class 10 buggy. However in the medium/long term I'd like to make a new V8 powered buggy designed from the ground up with AWD in mind, and reusing the styling from this buggy. Bigger engines/4WD? See the previous point. This is more meant to be a lightweight RWD buggy. Most larger engines would require modifying the chassis. Credits : Me : Jbeam, models and textures (except the stuff ripped from vanilla vehicles) @BDR_Guy : Testing + Bunch of small fixes and stuff
oh my god this is the exact type of buggy I was hoping would get added! >v< looks awesome so far, keep it up! :>
Yes I've also learned how to use Quixel Mixer, so this is going to be my first entirely textured mod, instead of using solid materials (with maybe an AO bake and noise map) and trying to get CC0 materials to work right.
Trackpad try not to make an epic mod again challenge (failed) Looks awesome along with the textures, glad to see you've upped your game on that front, really makes the suspension stand out and I love it! Keep up the awesome work
I love your other buggy mods, this one looks even better The textures really add a lot compared to your previous mods
So you want to make a Class one with a body reminiscing this one. Id say go for either the tatum buggy style or the racer engineering chassis, both look somewhat simmilar to this one.
Chassis and body style will probably both be very similar to what I've made, which is based on the Alumicraft buggies. One thing for sure, it's not going to be as chonky and boxy as the unlimited. Thing wasn't ever really built for that, and I don't want to try and get the body to fit correctly on it.
fuel cap, fire extinguisher and suspensions all have orange no texture Edit: tried with other mods deactivated and cleared cache
