It really looks great as it is, and I don't see any reason it shouldn't be released now. No one expects perfection or totally unique models. I think we all see this as a "what could have been" style mod where in-game content is used to come up with something that perfectly matches the game's lore. I'm very excited to see it!
Found this beauty a couple miles from where I live: I know you're making a truck based off the Kodiak.
I would say release it now as it looks to be pretty good quality and it would fill a content hole that I would say pretty desperately needs patching, however it is your mod and you can do as you please.
Let's not rush the creator to release the mod. Even though it might look ready from all the screenshots we've been seeing, there's more than likely stuff that we cannot see that still needs worked on. I would much rather have a fully completed model over a beta release/incomplete model any day of the week. You can't rush perfection at the end of the day. As I said before, this mod is really something special and I'm looking forward to it even though we don't know when it will be released. Will continue to monitor this thread for any other updates.
Exactly, mods that are as high quality as this one don't come around often, so we should sit tight and let the creator finish it to their standards rather than trying to get it released as quickly as possible.
Release it now i say then work on it again once ya feel like it. non zero chance you move on to something else or something if ya dont
"Now that I also think about it, releasing it sooner sounds like a better option for now anyways." -the creator himself
I agree 100%, I know multiple mod creators who have scrapped entire projects because of inpatient people, beggars, and leakers. There was a creator who was making the GTA V Map and completed GTA IV but decided to finish and not release it to the public which I respect. Last summer was one of the worst periods on the Forums, a lot of people who believed they were entitled to someone's work. Really unfortunate. I'm glad moderators banned a lot of those people last fall. It's ok to be very interested in a mod, but know when you cross lines.
Hello, I was wondering if there was plans for a 2 speed rear end at all? And perhaps a front end style similar to this
I had an idea for an auxilliary transmission which would function same way as a 2 speed rear end (didn't know that existed lol), which is possible so wouldn't be an issue to add. Also that front end is significantly older than the D-series cab we have to work with so I doubt I'll do anything like it for now. I had plans to ask AR162B about using his oldstyle D-series, I'm waiting for a reply on that
Yeah I tried making kinda one with hi and low with a d55 mod to try and do it but it didn't work very good lol
