I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. My game looks rubbish and nothing like any of the screenshots. Here's everything I installed / did in order, running BeamNG 0.25: In my user folder (C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.25): Installed current latest version of AL mod (AL18-2) Installed FANCY BeamNG for 0.25 over the top of that, replacing files Installed SSAO Mod over the top of that, replacing files Installed Fixed bloom & Auto-exposure PostFX over the top of that, replacing files (first kg22_fixed_postFx_025_v2.zip then kg22_fixed_postFx_025_optional_tonemap_v2.zip on top) Deleted everything inside my temp folder Ran deep cache clean from BeamNG launcher Launched the game Loaded "small island" map Completed the instructions in the "FANCY BeamNG for 0.25" and "Fixed bloom & auto-exposure" videos. However I'm pretty sure bloom just isn't working. I have the exact same settings as the "Fancy BeamNG" videos, yet my game looks different at the exact same time with the same car in the same position. The light isn't bouncing off the road or the car at all. What's more, adjusting Renderer Components > HDR > Combine Pass makes little to no difference in the games look at all, especially Bloom Scale which does nothing. It's like something is stuck somewhere. Hello, AL18 seems to be causing some issues on the latest version. 1st issue: I think this is related to the SSAO fix, all of the options in the following menus appear to be broken and their inputs unresponsive. Audio, Language, Cameras, Other. The controls menu displays normally, except none of the bindings show up. If I try to set a binding, hitting apply does nothing. So if I want to make even the slightest change to my bindings, I have to uninstall, change settings, and reinstall the mod again. I did see another user above with this next issue, East Coast textures get borked completely. I've done testing to isolate that these issues are being caused by AL18, the same issues occur on a clean install. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this just due to being slightly out of date? I was using the AL18-2 file and the howtomakebeamng025looklikethat file with video tutorial. Edit: I should add, the game looks absolutely fantastic on other maps like Italy with this applied, so good I ditched the RTGI reshade altogether. Hope I can find a fix because I do want to continue using this mod, but I really need to be able to change my settings without such a hassle. Edit 2: Fresh install of AL18-2 without the UI folder and SSAO fix resolved the weird settings issues, now using Zeit's Graphics Settings utils instead of the ssao fix, much better. Still having the issue with EC USA though.
For the 2 latest posts. I dont think you should use al18-2 on topp of the howtomakebeamng025looklikethat file. Only the latest one.
For the broken text or language (image 1) I managed to fix it by deleting options.js from "userfolder"\UI\modules\options
The 0.26 patch didnt do that much damage this time. But that foliage PBR enhancment gives some weird reflections on the vegetation when you increase the brightness in the world editor. Here are 2 pictures, one before and one after the patch. The tree trunk also looks weird, looks like something from Borderlands
yeah everything goes over the top bright, and autoexpousure only does more damage trying to accomodate
Hey I've been reaching out for help in other forums and nobody has seemed to respond. The auto exposure mod by kirby guy is great, but it doesn't load into the game every time. First few times it loaded in, third time I launched the game it was back to default graphics. HDR settings in world editor didnt change anything. Tried deleting the shaders folder in temp and more, didnt work. Any help>
