    Hi,

Currently I use Asus N550JV which has

    i7 4700HQ
    8 GB Rams
nvidia 750gtm with integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600

My problem is that I am getting extreme low FPS in lowest and highest graphics settings. There is no difference. It's about 10 to 12 FPS. The thing is when I activate slow mo it goes up to like 20-25 FPS.

And my notebook is not on battery saving mode.

Do you have any ideas what might be the problem.

    Thanks.

Either your GPU or CPU is bottlenecking (Slow down to cool down)

If the FPS goes up when the physics are paused, then it means the CPU is bottlenecking. 2 things to check normally would be that you are not in power saving mode (which you've already said you're not so that rules that out) and that the laptop isnt overheating in which case it will underclock itself.

Well if it was on a low power mode. You'd switch it to high performance mode.
If its overheating. The CPU may require new thermal paste, clear out all the fans and filters so there is no dust anywhere. If it still overheats, well laptops do that which is one reason why they are unsuited to gaming. Normally you run them on a hard surface to keep the air vents clear (no beds or anything) and if its still problematic, you can buy cooling mats to stand them on.

Otherwise. Time for an upgrade. Although that machine will never run BeamNG on all high with that GPU, it shouldnt lag at lowest.

I just acquired some thermal paste, and applied it. Nothing changes and laptop is pretty new so dust should not be a problem. I carefully watch cpu temperatures. It wont go up from 70.

I believe that there is some restriction with the computer because i tried to play it on my friends relatively old computer, it performs much much better than mine.

Do any of you have any ideas ?

    Thanks again.

70 is already too high. A laptop slows down above 60. You simply can't game on a laptop. I don't care if manufacturers put a 5960X in it, it just won't work.

    a) Take your laptop out of power saving mode
    b) Go into the NVIDIA control panel and make sure BeamNG is using the NVIDIA graphics
