Update Speculation thread

West Coast USA had a LOT of building and structure updates in some areas.

 

Mind sharing them as before and after?

No. For .26. Was the main thing for me on this update.

 

Loving that I can get traffic of like 30 vehicles at smooth framerates now. On the level of what a lot of games do. Which now means Italy feels like Italy and there's a crash up ahead and the roads are fully packed with vehicles.

Definitely bummed at the lack of body styles for another remaster. Hopefully once the remasters are done they'll circle back and add some body styles. Gotta say though, the MR Covet homologation specials visually look great.

The biggest thing on my mind atm though is those tire props... I'd love to know the story behind those. Hopefully we can put those on the crawler superbuilds soon (if not already? Can't open up the update for myself atm). It is worth noting that it's been a long time since we've gotten a new heavyweight in game, so maybe there's some interesting plans for those.

More automotive related props would be great to see in the future. Engine block props would be really useful. Soap box car as well.

Was the main thing for me as well, would put BeamNG on par with dedicated sim racing titles, would be HUGE for the game, feels like it was rushed a little, so they don't circle back to the 6 month schedule and leave us for such long periods again.


I'd like an explanation or another Q&A from the devs so we can ask these kinds of questions, Since it was clear that they were doing this already before 0.25, why wasn't it released? And why we got a sneak peek of the carrer mode instead? (since the carrer mode answer was made ambiguously to make us think the early version would come on 0.27?)

Click 6 times in the Carrer mode in the main menu in game

 

PSA if you repeatedly click on the Greyed out Carrer mode button you will get accsess to a BETA!!!!!!!

I don't know if anyone has talked about this yet; I'm not going to scroll through a bajillion pages to find out. Possible hint to that new Japanese map everyone's speculating about?

 

Japanese map or not, the police config looks great and I hope to see more coming up
