0.26 Discussion Thread

A few things of mine about the remastered Covet!

1. It's kinda shame the 2.0 GTz Special Edition variant is gone because it would indicate a slightly more decked out version of the 2.0 GTz. After all, it's the most expensive factory FWD version a client can buy, so the special content of this version (Lower Spoiler, Ibishu Type-ZS wheels, GTz Factory Graphics etc.) makes sense. I mean, I found the aforementioned parts in the Parts Selector to reproduce it but still.
2. The Covet fits perfectly into the European car market too, so some EUDM versions of the FWD cars (not the MR ones though, after all its a very well known fact that the Japanese keep the best versions for themselves), with the JDM head-/taillights, the 180 km/h speedometer and a rear bumper with a wider recess for fitting the European number plates would make sense.
3. Didn't expect the MR to have a longitudinal mid-engined layout. This opens the road for some crazy V-engine swaps in the future (Bruckell V6s and V8s, Gavril V8s, Civetta V8s and V10s). Even the transverse Ibishu 2.7 V6 can fit.
4. As with the already remastered '96 Pessima, I hope all dashboard clocks, either mechanical or digital, be functional sometime in the future.

Yeah, that makes sense. And it makes sense to be able to turn it off and on in different circumstances for different reasons I guess.

 

My steering wheel reaches full 900 degrees lock but the car doesn't.
The wheels turn only haft way and i need to pump the degrees in game so it can fully steer,
but then the movement of the wheel in game and my wheel don't match.

I'm with a Logitech g29. If anyone has any ideas please bring them in.

les goo! i just got bck from school and there is a update! the pbr stuff and motion blur will most likely damage my fps.

 

You forgot career

 

When using turbo on 1.3 in Covet engine starts to starve of oil very quickly. Engine debug says it's because "gravity starvation"

 

The time trial "Mountain Climb" at Small Island starts you with SBR4 instead of Roamer as it is supposed to.

 

Hey, how are mods that rely on custom settings entries supposed to work now with settings/defaults.json acting as a whitelist (if i understand correctly)?
I understand the changes were made so defaults could be overridden in the future, but what is the suggested migration procedure?

 

Every time I spawn a new vehicle or replace the current vehicle, the game switches to arcade transmission mode.

 

Level editor no longer appears to ask to save the changes made to the level upon exiting the game.
