Parked vehicles Mod/Assets pack

    i have an idea how nice is a mod/assets pack were lower poly version of actual bng cars as object like you have an big parking lot and you will fill it the first thing whats comes to your mind is spawn the vehicles and drive then to the lots but if you have more cars like 6 the game lags and lags more if you place an new car (and if you restart the map the cars are gone) so why not make low poly versions of them and use them as objects like an house in beamNG ore an other decor element and the game lags less and you haves an filled parking lot. "HEEEY ITS BORING IF EVERY TIME THE SAME CAR ON THE PARKING LOT STAYS!!!" if beamNG has an feature the objects can be displayed based on the daytime sure it can be implemented for it.
    i have in mind the cars looks like the ai vehicles from Euro Truck Sim 2 ore Farmin simulator

    Wow! Nice idea! but i think than system of spawning new objects of cars will be difficult.(if you didnt undertsand some of what i wrote sorry i learning english and didnt use translator)

    Definitely an interesting idea.
    But there could be some downsides.
    1. Low poly versions of all the vehicles would have to be made - probably in multiple different versions (LeGran wagon, T-Series sleeper, D-Series bed cover,...). This would take some time, especially for a pretty small studio like the one behind BeamNG
    2. Could be pretty difficult finding the balance between the car looking good up close and it being performance friendly in larger quantities.
    3. The system would have to be specifically programmed to place cars in certain places (parking lots). This would probably either have to be within the parking places assets, or added manually afterwards. Can you imagine some maps being remade with this feature?
    4. How would the spawning work? The game can kinda handle spawning and despawning a couple of AI vehicles, but tens, possibly hundreds of assets? Even if they were lowpoly assets?
    5. Would be incompatible with mods, unless someone specifically took their time to completely remake the model of their vehicle to a lowpoly version...
    6. Crash physics?

    I personally think it is an interesting idea, but it's probably just going to stay an idea.

    I remember there used to be a mod with a similar idea but it was just bare chassis of vehicles to crush with a monster truck, it was very FPS friendly, so maybe this would be too
