I don't blame the author. I said a few posts ago that this is one of my favorite maps and he did a wonderful job. I'm simply stating my personal suggestions and opinions how this mod could be improved from my personal point of view. That's it. --- Post updated --- I think you got caught up on the "salted road" part. It simply was an explanation as to why a wet road would make sense. Salt melts ice, and melted ice is water. It has nothing to do with physics or how a wet road is any different than a road with salt water on it.
there's less traction due to the snow, I'm assuming. also the people who get mad at mods for being unrealistic are the type of people who get depressed when they run out of gas
No one's getting mad, it's just suggestions to make the mod better. There's no reason to not give suggestions to make the mod better unless the author specifically states that they're not taking suggestions. In my opinion though, the slipperiness does need to get fixed. It's supposed to be a Wintry map yes, but usually roads in real life aren't extremely slippery and are normally salted, and since BeamNG probably doesn't have a system of salted roads, making most roads wet instead of icy would make sense. There can still be some slippery roads which would be fine, but it would make more sense to make more roads wet, especially considering that some places (e.g. the tunnel) shouldn't even be icy. Of course it's up to eskim to decide if he wants to change the slipperiness of the road or not.
A quick fix while we wait for the thread author to make a proper fix is to open the zip file and replace the mainLevel.lua file which is in the root folder, with the one from the current version of West Coast USA. I have attached the file to make it easier for you replace it.

Cool map, would be perfect if the roads weren't so patchy as in its slippy and randomly you catch grip and throws you around the place I don't know if its meant to be like that but I think it would be a lot smother if the road was full of snow physics instead of random grippy parts.

such a great map but some of the trees have no texture and are bright orange i cleared my cache and removed all mods great job though
Hii!! You wrote a message in a thread where nothing has been written for about 2 years, this is called a bump, which is essentially not allowed on the forum, the map is probably outdated and it does not work. Please, try not to make such mistakes!!
