Many people have the luxury of a controller, and some even have full sim rigs. For us keyboard players, however, it is crucial that cars come in a manual transmission because it allows us to control the engine power (with realistic transmission). If not for that control, we would be stuck at full throttle no matter what. If we don't want to lose the back end in a RWD car around a corner, we can just throw it into a higher gear and keep some power.
I'm used to driving way overpowered RWD cars in this game myself, you don't need a manual, just don't hold the throttle all the time but lift up when there's wheelspin or something, and use the brakes more often. The oversteer reduction assistant also helps against spinning out.
im here driving big block coronets with drums and bicycle tires and youre here complaining the instant you have to drive a automatic. bruh.
The auto transmissions LOVE to make me go 3 gears up whenever I take my foot off the throttle so no thanks
