Beautiful map, but one problem.. I was enjoying it and there were no issues.. until my game crashed. When I restarted, road markings and all streets in the Big City area are missing textures. I've cleared cache three times and the problem still persists. What should I do??
Beta 3.0 is OUT! This update adds quality of life with a better night mode, lighting improvements, and 0.26 compatibility! BETA 3.0 Changelog: New Road Textures Better Lighting Better Night Mode / Milky Way Galaxy Skybox Less Fog DOWNLOAD: https://www.patreon.com/posts/67497646 NOTE: BETA 3 IS NOT THE PERFORMANCE UPDATE! This will take longer as I've learned a lot of different things since then. This will take a bit as I have to basically edit every file of the map. The next update will probably be the performance update so be on the lookout! BETA 3.0 Screenshots:

Since this is not a repo mod (yet (hopefully)), you can't update it in the game. You have to go to your mods folder, find the old Desert Expanse .zip, and delete that. Then you download the new version via the Patreon or the Google link and drop it into your mods folder.
Hello, every car engine sounds like you were driving in tunnel. It doesn't matter where you are on map. You know this issue?
Probably on purpose, its a big empty expanse that sits somewhat in-between mountain ranges. Beam doesn't have a good soundscape for echo's and reverb so its probably just a work around for now. or I could be wrong and its a bug.
Not an issue, it's actually a feature. I added a soundscape for the reverb to make the map sound more "open" in a way. If you don't like it you can always go into the World Editor and search for it in the Scene Tree. It is called "SFXSpace_1". Just delete that and it will go away
Ah ok, thank you. Props to you for that map, really amazing work. Could pass like a standard beamng map because its so detailed, even if you drive at highway or on the lonely road which is on the edge of the map.
It's a great map in terms of design, but yeah I hope it gets optimized soon. I have a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750J Processor with 6 cores and 12 threads, RTX 3060 and 24GB RAM, and the map is always at 80% RAM or higher and I've bluescreened once while playing on it.
Yeah, this map was made before I had the understanding that textures account for a lot of the optimization issues in the map. When making the map, I was thinking that the polygons were the heaviest issue with the map, which I was most definitely mistake about.
Not worth upgrading a PC for a single map, even Los Injurus runs better than this for me, I wish it didn't lag so much
