So it will be fixed sometime. Eventually.
Yeah, the Heavy Duty Block has the same properties on my installment (power decrease, ability to handle about 7500rpm) but the Ultra Heavy Duty Block is a mystery worth investigating.
But even the Stage-1/-2/-3 Performance Blocks aren't able to produce big power and torque above 9000rpm. The curves of the 1.5 DOHC drop significantly above 9000rpm while those of the 2.0 DOHC are going strong right up the 8600rpm maximum redline (where, with the Stage-3 Performance Block, the ITB Intake and the Hood-Exit Exhaust, it makes 296hp and 269Nm/198.4lb-ft). I made two JDM racing variants with the 1.5 DOHC (234hp and 200Nm/147.5lb-ft with the Stage-2 Performance Block, the ITB Intake and the Hood-Exit Exhaust) and all the necessary racing equipment and I set the Race ECU at 9500rpm but the curves looked tired after 9000rpm. So I reset the Race ECU at 9000rpm and the 1.5 DOHC engine became a top-end horsepower monster!

Traffic still has the problem where if you drive the wrong way they will sometimes intentionally crash into you instead of trying to avoid you...

Selecting the variants of Wheelarch flares on the 98 Pessima seems to crash Nvidia graphics drivers and terminally errors the computer. It also seems they don't differ in any way.

To add context, I was playing with the rear flares. specifically I went down the list from sport to custom. They all look the same and when I selected the sports one again my computer crashed making repeated windows error sounds and a black green.

It's a job for the modders, not the devs, this won't be "fixed"

my bad i thought it had to do with the game itself considering when you switch to a modded body the car breaks

It has to do with the game but it's not a bug, it's part of a feature for optimization. Modders have to adapt their mods to it.

Just an idea for a future update: the Wangan RS wheel looks great in its total-black paint finish but a silver variant would also look great! ;)

Now, on the more fundamental stuff. I noticed some sound bugs after the 0.26.1 Update.
The first one is about the exhaust/muffler system when you detach it from the car. It makes no detaching/metal clanging sounds when detached and dragged on the ground. (edit: muffler non-clanging was fixed by relaunching the game)
The second one is about the interior sound filtering with all doors closed and all glass panes present. The engine, muffled or not, sounds in the same uninsulated way as it does on the outside. I discovered this while driving a FWD race-prepped sequential Covet to which I put Fiberglass Windows and the Race Interior, without any insulation panels, and it was amazing (and, therefore, correct for a car with no insulation at all - the new Covet MR interior engine/transmission sound filtering must be kept just as it is in cars with lightweight/fiberglass windows and bare metal/no insulation on the inside, regardless of where the engine is. Even the gear clicking/clanging of manuals/race manuals and sequentials when the car is about to stop with the engine off is absolutely correct to be heard loud and clear, both inside and out.).
But then I wondered if the sound level is exactly the same in a normal Covet, so I took the standard 1.5 DXi out for a spin and got a bit disappointed with hearing exactly the same sound level with the normal glass windows and the insulated interior. (edit: sound filtering was fixed by simply restarting the game and that includes the doors, which I'm gonna mention in the next paragraph - but the sound could certainly be louder inside when no insulation is in place)
As for the passenger doors opening and closing sounds, the same outside filter should be applied on the inside too because that's how the sound spreads and resonates inside of the whole cabin IRL. There are many door cases though, so they have to be straightened out (try to follow me, it's kinda complicated):
    1. The engine hood, along with its release latch, has to get two sound filters, depending on the situation. When you unlatch and open/close the hood with all passenger doors closed (by using the trigger, in other words) and all glass panes present, the sound must be interior-filtered. On the other hand, with at least one passenger door open and at least one glass pane absent, the filter must be the exterior one. The obvious exception on this is the Hirochi SBR4, which is a Hatchback, has no wall between the passenger cabin and the rear trunk and it also has the hinged engine cover on the base of the trunk space.
    2. Same thing for the tailgate operation, for Pick-Up trucks like the D-Series and the Pigeon.
    3. In Sedans (like the Pessimas, Special, Sunburst, Grand Marshal, Bastion, I-Series, Bluebuck and LeGran) and Coupes (like the 200BX, Wendover, Barstow and Moonhawk), depending on the rear seats and the glass panes, the two filters must be applied to the trunk covers too. When the rear seats and all glass panes are there and the trunk gets unlatched and opened with the trigger from the inside, the insulated filter is the right thing to be implemented. But when both are out (the '96 Pessima gives us the ability to remove them), the exterior filter is more appropriate due to the way the sound gets resonated inside the cabin IRL.
    4. Hatchbacks (like the Covet, the FCVs, the SBR4, the Wigeon plus Wagons, like the 800-Series and the LeGran Wagon, and SUVs like the Roamer and the D-Series Charro and Kentarch), as well as many Vans (like the H-Series), have no wall getting in between the passenger cabin and the boot/load space) so they should have the exterior filter applied on the inside too because, again, that's how the sound spreads and resonates inside of the whole cabin IRL. The only exception to this is the SBR4, which also has its hinged transparent engine cover in the trunk space, so it should only get the outside filter for both its rear hatch and engine cover.
    5. Supercars, like the Bolide and the Scintilla, depend on the rear glass pane presence, the roof presence and, naturally, the doors opening and closing. When the rear glass pane or the roof panel(s) is/are absent and/or when the doors are open, the rear engine cover/tailgate (plus the frunk cover) should have the exterior filtering.
And all of the above depends on the lightweight glass/fiberglass panes too, which offer next-to-zero sound insulation!

Well, am I glad to hear that someone else seems to be waiting along for the Humble Bundle update besides me ! I just got too curious after waiting for several days ( posting 2 pages ago) and I just can't wrap my brain
    around the fact that :

1 - no one else besides myself ( and now ByteGuy ) is asking questions about our HB version
2 - there is no single official announcement on the forums in relation to this delay
3 - That HB has'nt gotten this far (after 3 updates of + 10 gigas) to be able to put a small notice
on their website to inform us that we just have to wait a little longer

What is going on here ? laughing out... a little loud

I hope the fact that we are getting more frequent development media doesn't mean that there won't be any more hotfixes. The game in its current state is very broken (200BX suspension tuning is extremely broken, understeer assistant is not the best, various mods could use some backwards compatibility as the new variable system broke them, many things with the RHD Covet configs make no sense....), I hope they won't just leave it as it is for 3 months.

    Great update again. :)

One small thing I noticed and couldn't find a mention of yet:

EU-plate is clipping inside Unpainted Rear Bumper and Rear Bumper but Series 2 Rear Bumper is fine.

If I remember correctly, In Japan the shift pattern has to be displayed somewhere in the vehicle for it to be road legal- Usually, this would be on the shift knob, unless it's something like a utility vehicle or truck, which is why pretty much all factory civic shift knobs internationally have the pattern printed on em, like so:

Which would actually make the Ibishu logo shift knob Illegal in all the manual JDM models :p
    upload_2022-9-28_19-3-1.png

Super nitpicky I know, but just something i noticed.

On another note, I noticed that shift knobs are (almost) all separate parts in the 3d models now; when could we hope to see selectable shift knobs ingame? (or, at least, a slot for it, so modders can do their thing :D )

Also, I've noticed that none of the pulleys spin on the remastered covet engines, though the engines in the late gen pessima do, as do the bastion's, piccolina's, barstow's, bluebuck's, grand marshal's, d-series, h-series, and roamer (since those three all use the same engines). Curiously, the 200bx has no actual pulleys whatsoever, likely due to being such an old engine model. Also, radiator fans spin on most cars except for the bus, for some reason.

Something I havent seen posted yet. On cars with the race 6 speed transmission shifter, after resetting the car at least once, downshifting from 3rd>2nd and 5th>4th the shifter move all the way down then to the left (red) instead of down to neutral, then left, then down into gear (blue), only when traveling at low speed/stopped (I think when shift behavior is calm). upload_2022-9-28_22-51-3.png

I also noticed when drifting the drift config of the Grand Marshal that pieces of the cage appear to shake badly when motion blur is enabled, but not when motion blur is disabled

And please fix the 200bx race rear suspension asap, my baby is undrivable :(

P.S. I love the manual shifter animations, its absolutely incredibly satisfyingly amazing.
