nope, it’s based off the 200bx since the 200sx is extremely similar to the s15 IRL. Basically i decided that i’d kinda be reinventing the wheel if i used a scratch made jbeam.

Sorry if it was already answered but will it have the iconic deep SR20DET sound?

yes, I want to replicate the sound as closely as possible, hopefully the final sound will have that iconic deep tone

    update:

-found real s15 rear subframe mount locations and adjusted jbeam to match, will try to find the rest of the measurements later
    https://grabcad.com/library/nissan-95-98-s14-240sx-200sx-silvia-rear-subframe-locations-oem-1

-started unibody texturing with undercarriage and engine bay, this took tons of time but I'm happy with the result.

-tested handling on steering wheel (lgtech G29), not that happy with the handling, still gotta work on suspension jbeams quite a bit.

    -fixed stressed headlight jbeam

(also good news: nothing broke after 0.26:D)

The lengths you're going to in terms of accuracy are appreciated, even if I won't notice any of them lol

fr, I'm kinda wasting my time here since I doubt people are gonna be inspecting the screw holes of the under carriage the second they download the mod... Making unibody textures is one of my favourite steps to modding though so I don't mind.

I think it makes the most difference to the author because you can take pride in the work you went through to deliver such a high quality recreation of the vehicle. It's the satisfaction that you take away from your work here that counts the most.

Holy shit that's sick! What's your workflow for texturing the underbody?

it’s all done in substance painter, first I make the base material and then I add a height map and some extra stuff like rust and screw holes

probably not, I’m hoping I can get all factory parts modelled, textured and properly jbeam ed by then though.

Someone might have suggested this already but a yashio factory widebody would be cool to have. The one with big flares.
