Nah that's alright --- Post updated --- Small suggestion: maybe a flatbed exhaust? That's not good for load cargos in
here is the file, if anyone wants to improve it then i give you the permission to do it, and also, it looks the best in bright colors. the textures are from www.texturecan.com and 3dtextures.me --- Post updated --- also some suggestions for the mod: a US spec plate (i know it is sold only in european countries but what if?) a nos slot in the engine (i want to engine swap it with agenty's values mod i need a boost) heavy duty/lightened/ultra light flywheels (probably easy to do because it doesnt rlly need a model/jbeam and you can copy it from other cars) actual loads that has ropes attaching it to the flatbed (example like a wooden crate and short wooden planks
Tried the last version but it seems the problem persists, only for the flatbed one, even removing everything except the frame and suspensions. I tried to check with my basic knowledge but I couldn`t figure out what`s wrong.
Ah totally forgot about this issue, definitely will look at this today. --- Post updated --- Fixed (updated the zip). It had nothing to do with suspensions but something else, as far as I tested, now you can change offsets, camber, caster, tire pressure...without problems on both the flatbed and minibus. Lmk if you still run into problems with the variables. Oh, and I forgot, I added heavier rear springs yesterday, can be used on all versions and they handle up to ~800kg of extra weight in the rear.
You mean, the steering has too many degrees? It's an old car without power steering so it has to. There's a couple of things you can do on your end (if multiple people complain about this, I can reduce the steering angle). You can go to the settings and set your steering to scale with the vehicle's steering. By default you go 1-1 in the middle and then the wheel speeds up near the end to make up for it, this way the wheel will speeds up everywhere proportionally. Or, you can go to suspension_F jbeam file, find the section S1203_steering, hydros and then "steeringWheelLock" - change the number to whatever you like, for example, if your wheel has 900 of total degrees (lock to lock), change the steeringWheelLock to 450 (half of it, that's just from center to the edge). If you match that number to your wheel's lock to lock degrees divided by two, the in-game wheel will match your wheel exactly. The less degrees, the more snappier, faster, the steering will feel. --- Post updated --- Also, I haven't seen anyone complain about the headlights anymore, do these look okay? I know someone mentioned the glass looked very transparent in the original remaster, so I tried to improve it. But if you look at lot of vanilla cars, their headlights are just a piece of barely visible glass with vertical strips (look at roamer for example).
I think they look okay, but I got another complaint: the Red Cross Badge and Skoda Badge are messed up, I think the part which you can apply them to is called "Front Mask" or something, not sure. The Red Cross Part spawns only with the shell and without the cross and is see-through, and the Skoda Part doesn't spawn at all and instead removes the "Front Mask" Part, I hope you understand my gibberish above
That's the issue, the red cross glass is almost invisible, at first I also thought it spawns without the cross, but it's there, only very transparent
Not as bad as I expected from the screenshots and posts on this thread. Reminds me of the van in Metro Exodus.
Lemme just preface my post by saying that I really like your last update. The thing looks really nice, and deforms better than before. However there's a couple of things that could be made even better. I'm not sure exactly what causes the issue, as I don't know the exact weight of the thing IRL, however the van variants seem very tail heavy, while the pickup is the opposite. I feel like weight would need to be moved around a tad on the van body (Including maybe making the engine heavier? And I think the pickup bed needs to be heavier, as the pickup variant is nearly 400kg lighter Also, it's generally good practice to use the cooked dds files instead of your original pngs in the released mod. You can find the dds files in \AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.26\temp\vehicles\S1203 This helps reduce load times. Do you know what angle the thing has IRL? With the way your hydros are currently set-up, there is 2000 degrees of steering lock to lock, which seems excessive even for an older car. If I use the formula on this page, I get a steering ratio of about 36:1. To get that closer to a more realistic value of 18:1ish for slower steering, you'd probably need to both reduce the steering wheel angle, and raise the angle of the wheels themselves. Most vanilla cars have nearly 40 degrees of wheel angle on the inside wheel at full lock, while the van only has a bit under 30. Most vanilla cars have a steering wheel angle of 900 or less for gameplay reasons, since the most popular wheels on the market have that angle lock to lock.
It seems to be working, thank you. I agree with the weight consideration, the pickup one lift the rear braking downhill
