Why do I see AI vehicles crashing into each other every 2 minutes when I drive around. This also occurs to other maps and they just either rear end or side swipe each other forming a pileup. Is there an answer for this? screenshot_2022-09-23_13-13-53.png

I have this issue too, the AI doesn't recognize any stopped vehicles including the vehicle I am controlling. They just run into each other and create massive pileups on every map. It worked fine when I first updated the game but all of a sudden the AI stopped detecting other cars.

    Please follow these steps:

    - Open your Userfolder (Launcher → Manage User Folder → Open in Explorer)
    - Navigate one level up and find the folder with the latest version of the game
    - Create a backup of this folder by renaming it, for example, `0.26 backup`
    - The game will create a new folder and then you'll be able to move your mods one by one until you find the broken one.

Please do not move all your mods at once, as you may miss the broken mod causing the issue.

See below for my reply from another thread.

"Does this also happen when you disable third party mods?

Update: Just ran some troubleshooting steps by removing all mods before adding them back to the "mods" folder one by one/folder by folder. It turns out that the mod called "Improved Siren Mod" (Mod file name: sirenmod.zip) was causing the traffic issues for me. After removing the mod, I noticed about 0-1 crashes with 20 traffic cars, while driving between both ends of the main highway in West Coast. All other traffic settings remained the same.

With the mod installed, I noticed about 7-10 crashes, including a few pileups within the same distance, and the same number of traffic cars spawned in West Coast. I'm currently in touch with the creator of the mod to see if the mod can be fixed."

Hey! I wasn't able to reproduce the issue myself but assuming this was caused by my mod (it had some outdated code) can you please try this version and tell me if it fixed the issue please?

Does it happen in Safe Mode tho?
You got mods and they tend to affect cars' performance, some of them might even spawn with broken engine/no brakes/no tires.
The devs coded the traffic for default cars.
