I've only been looking at the forums again in the last few days so, I unfortunately missed this. I've realized this game is 10 years old already.

I'm not good at all with words, but just a thank you. I'm so glad to have found this game years ago through WhyBeAre & InsaneGaz. I also personally blame Nadeox1 for making me so addicted to the AI because of his Police Chase videos.

These are some of the first videos I visibly remember watching, though I couldn't tell you when.

Timestamped because this roll is engrained into my brain.

Ever since finishing Douglas Rally (Thanks for the positivity on the map by the way, I'm still really proud of it), I've been much more focused on creating Monster Truck mods for Rigs Of Rods (WerewolfN/B), but as I did this week, I always come back to BeamNG for one reason or another and can't stop playing. This game is the first reason in maybe 3 months that I've stayed up past 7am.

Probably 5k~ hours since I didn't use steam to launch the game for a while.

Quite sad how YouTube struck him down, he was great. He was my introduction to beam back before a had a PC. And my re-introduction to beam when I found both his channel and the game again.

It's much better for everyone that he quit tbh. He should have done it much earlier. He was never as appreciated as he should have been, his editing skills were amazing and barely anyone paid attention to that, like he would make those seamless transitions between maps sometimes and someone who never played BeamNG would think it's the same map, he also did abnormal amount of research and preparation for his mod review content, yet nobody seemed to care and his viewers just wanted him to crash cars like all other youtubers. He seemed to hate his job a lot behind the scenes, made those posts where nobody could tell if he's doing it for attention or is geniuenly clinically depressed, did many hints about having no social life that no idea if they were jokes or not, only a small percentage of his viewers cared about his well being, and to top it all off, none of his videos for any topic other than BeamNG got any significant views, despite being objectively much better and higher quality, with way more effort put into them. And he could never financially recover from that strike he got without getting a real job. He tried streaming but everyone just wanted him to crash cars all the time and he was visibly sick of it. He obviously wanted to turn his life around and start over, but was held back by all of those "fans" telling him that he should never quit because "you are my childhood youtuber shekdhdssswjshz". And then there was also the doxxing, they doxxed not only him but his parents too, that's evil. Lots of bad stuff and none of it would have happened if he quit earlier and found a normal job.

a couple months ago he got struck down for a video he made a long time ago about a game called ethnic cleansing, which started the beginning of the Downward Spiral and in short he tried to prove to yt that he wasn't a terrorist but they didn't believe he stayed demonetized and got doxxed and just quit, all his socials have been updated in months

Early 2013 I remember seeing videos of the game. Not until 2014 did I purchase my own copy. I loved whybeare and his content was a lot of fun to watch. Im sad to see him go but it is for the best and I feel he's far happier doing real things. It's a shame what this community did to him.

That is just tragic to see, this guy was my childhood. I never cared for crashes all I wanted was his great driving commentary. He was really unlike anyone else with genuine effort in his videos

That's true! I may've hated his voice and kept my video volume down because of it but man, he knew every little detail!

I think this was the first game I ever purchased, im from south America so you know the deal with economy, it was trough the BeamNG website, and then some time later got the key to use it in Steam.

What a memories, I literally learned how to drive a car with this game, practicing hours with a joystick figuring out how a clutch works, how much to press the accelerator, what to do in an intersection, downshift, revmatch, I love that so many street cars are available, and how differently they react.
It was jumping in to the car and everything felt like home, my dad was truly surprised how well I drove the family car for the first time.

Also, the never ending possibilities with physics, comparison between cars, loading vehicles to the limit, getting better at photography practicing with the game, recreating real life events with my friends through the game lol, never regret supporting the devs thanks for many years making me happy, that has no price :)

I personally never cared for the crashes, I preferred when he did his in depth reviews. I know he will be returning after college making musch better content and I'm very excited for it.
    Edit: I've responded before smh

I notice this thread is old but i just have to take time to thank the whole team and everybody involved in this, I've been around since the very early RoR days and watched it blossom from a seed into the very advanced for its time product it became, and then to watch Beam.NG do the same is just quite amazing honestly. This team has set the bar so high and has exceeded anything i could ever imagine i could see in a video game.

Thanks everyone keep up the great work.
