Yeah, it’ll definetly take some time, at least 0.28. I guess we’ll just see the k/800 series remaster and maybe the Autobello Version but just 1 major remaster this time

 

The update is gonna be epic with this truck.

 

doubt we will get this truck with the 0.27 update.

 

He asked "what's the point of another X", where X is something in a class of things we already have and used that to suggest a trophy truck is not necessary because we have a prerunner...

Is "modern cars" not another analagous class of things which we already have in game? He is saying a trophy truck and pre runner are too similar because they are off road trucks. It seems to me that his logical process would result in conclusions of the same sort to any two vehicles in the same niche, for example the Bastion and the Vivace as both modern volume street cars with performance trim levels at similar market pricing. If a presumably modern tube frame trophy truck and a 1980's caged frame pre-runner are too similar and we apply the same standard across the board then most street cars are to eachother as well and it's going to be a struggle to find anything that can differentiate itself enough to justify.

 

No i didnt say they are to similiar because they are both offroad vehicles. You added that to your argument which is just wrong.
I only said what is the point of having another Trophy/Prerunner Truck.
Not more, not less.
Plain and simple.

As I said, if a modern tube frame rig is too similar to a 40 year old caged frame rig then the standard for what is justifiably differentiated from existing content would seem to be very strict

Something I noticed. One of the dev's posted the video on their instagram, and did #hopper, #jeepwrangler, #jeep. This might mean that its not a truck, it might be a Hopper.

After all the debate since yesterday im really stoked to see what comes out with this and if it will be a motorsport-platform only.

 

When you look at the standard set by the Capsule Mod, the Wentward feels even more lackluster. And very very dated. Yes, such vehicles tend to have a long life but still... it feels like a bus from decades ago.

The lack of options make it just much more obvious. No engines besides diesel even though modern buses are one of the most likely vehicle types to have several different propulsion options. No bendy variant - although they will have to rework the way stops work for longer buses and also research/implement the not uncomplex steering system.

We also need a coach, not just a transit bus although this likely could be just a variant model.

No. I really like modern cars and especially in the transition phase the real life car industry is right now, there are countless interesting technical concepts and developments that could be reflected in the game. From propulsion (Fuel cell anyone?) to autonomous driving and advances in vehicle security.

That is not to say that I dislike old cars... quite the opposite. There are some fascinating old quirky concepts as well.

Hey! Get your dirty hands of my favourite small wedge! One of my favourite vehicles and with quite a few mods adding content that it originally lacks. One that will have an interesting canopy opening once the devs come arround to it. And one, that imho, really could use a 2020s modern variant.

I would pay real money for BeamNGs brilliant physics engine simulating a tracked or even half tracked vehicle.

It also has a real world equivalent in the very small vehicles category that is far from unpopular in crowded asian cities.

 

Did the team got bigger? That was pretty fast tho. The devs was working on this truck while working on the Covet Remaster 0.26, the ETK K-Series Remaster and God only knows what other thing to come. It sounds like a lot of work to me

I don't think it was, we had the new parts for the K-Series.

I would have remembered of anything teased about the I-Series.
Would be really cool though if it happen to be in the line soon for the remaster treatment.
