There's this one specific mod (Hoverside Special, very old and broken mod) that keeps appearing in my vehicle selector, and being able to be loaded ingame, despite the mod being nowhere in my mods folder. I've cleared out any possible leftovers in previous game version files, and double checked every mod folder I have, and I can't find it anywhere. It doesn't appear in safemode. This is very confusing, and I'd love some help.

You should never use that mod, it's so badly made it overrides lots of game files, it might have somehow merged with the normal Burnside on your end, no idea how to help, you might have to clean reinstall the game

If i understand the game correctly then if it doesn't show in safe mode it's gotta be somewhere in the user folder, maybe there's files in the config folder? 0.26/vehicles/car name

If you can't find it you could also rename the user folder to let the game create a new one, open the game to make sure the mod is gone, then copy over all your settings and configs to the new one

Sounds like that one ex that would stalk you even after you broke up.
anyway, Sounds like a nightmare! it could have replaced the burnside itself.
    solutions:
Bruteforce: go into vehicles/burnside(if you have a ZIP opener) and check for something like hoverside.pc. If you find it, delete it.
    Destructive: Delete burnside.zip(simple as that)
Complex: move burnside.zip out of the beamng folder or delete it, then verify the integrity of game files via steam launcher(if you used humble bundle, I have no idea), it should revert it back to the regular version of the burnside(and delete the persistent mod)

the thing is the Burnside itself is still ingame, and works perfectly fine

I've deleted the Burnside folder in my vehicles folder twice, and it's still showing up
