I played the Demo 2 1/2 times too drive the 3 cars. That was until My Controller wouldn't connect :/ The car I'm looking forward to dive is the Huracan!
Wow this looks like it will be nice. Sadly I only have the 360. I liked Horizons a lot so I am definitely looking forward to this one. But what I wonder, is why they can't have 1080P on the 360, seems a little odd, unless the new graphics just don't allow for it.
The 360 has ancient hardware, I think there are only one or two games in existence that even run at 1080p on it. It's nowhere near powerful enough for it, even the first Horizon was only 720p.
Really? On the label it says it can do 1080P. I know of a few other games, like Burnout Paradice, Portal I believe, Minecraft and others. The xBox seems to handle things pretty well. Just maybe not Horizon 2 well.
And the label for the PS4 and XBone says 4K when they struggle to reach 1080p. All it means is that the system's output bandwidth can support it, not that any games take advantage of it. The reason being the hardware cannot drive realtime rendered scenes at that resolution. It's a load of snake oil, just like 940Hz TVs. The other day I saw a 480p DVR labelled as "HD capable" because it had an HDMI input and output. I believe GTAV was 600p and I l know Burnout Paradise was only 720p. Not sure about Portal.
Sorry, looks like that was GTA IV. GTA V was apparently 720p proper. Impressive for 7 year old hardware.
It renders at 720p, the 1080p notation is to say "yes, this game will display on a 1080p screen" because the console can upscale to that resolution.
Actually, it's not. I've seen my brother play GTA V on our Xbox 360 and it looks awful. Especially compared to the glory that is my PC. 720p isn't very impressive at all, especially when my 6 year old laptop can play some games at 60+ FPS at 1200p. (ETS2 for example.)
Ah OK, thank you. That makes sense, it does look pretty good on our TV for not being 1080i. (TV doesn't do 1080P on anyhing but the antenna jack, I don't know why. But at least it is 1080.)
ETS2, oh so impressive... Really, its not. ETS2 graphically is not all that complicated at all, doesnt take much to max it. But yeah. GTA5, texture and LoD pop galore on the 360.
Obviously it's not a direct comparison to the game, but merely a statement that PC graphics are superior in general, which is obvious already.
Just because you don't think it's 720p is by no means proof. The game IS 720p, I don't see how thinking otherwise can prove that wrong. Also, comparing 6 year old hardware to 10 year old hardware (that was like budget hardware to begin with, even back then), of course the more recent design will win.
